David Rosenfelt Dog Tripping, story of how he and his family brought over 20 dogs cross country in a car and van. Pretty funny and interesting. He runs a dog rescue. He also does a series with Andy Carpenter, not dog related but great series. There is also the Chet and Bernie series by Spencer Quinn.
I really liked Rescuing Penny Jane by Amy Sutherland. It is kind of nonfiction. It talks about the dogs she’s rescued, her experience volunteering in shelters and the overall situation of shelters and adoptions in the US.
A Dog’s Journey, A Dog’s Purpose, A Dog’s Way Home, The Dogs of Christmas all by Bruce Cameron.
