Like a harlequin novel? Are you talking about a classic that is short? Easy to read? Highly romantic? Historical fiction?
Yea I guess I’m really in to love storys I’m reading some thing different now
Misery, by Stephen King.
Lady Chatterley’s Lover
Anything by Jane Austen or the Brontes (although not all of the latter have optimistic endings). Dickens often has romances central to his plots, too.
“Agnes Grey” was a wonderful novel.
Katherine by Anya Seaton.
The end of the affair by Graham Greene
Try Victoria Holt not classic in the sense of our group but she fits in the category
She also wrote under the name Phillipa Carr.
Jean Plaidy too. Unsure if I spelled that right
Think Mills & Boon. Romances.
Adding Georgette Heyer to your list.
Never read one, but am familiar with the genre. A great read is Forever Amber by Kathleen Winsor. It came out in 1944 and outsold almost every other book for the decade. Other good authors in the romantic genre would be
Barbara Taylor Bradford and Susan Howatch. Great sagas and some romance.
