@Amanda by the same author Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. I personally followed along in the hardcover book while listening to the audiobook and it was so fantastic.
The narrator of The Goldfinch was fantastic. Or, since you liked HP, stick w JK Rowling and listen to the Cormoran Strike novels that she wrote under a pseudonym. That narrator is also amazingly good and I love that whole series. Listened to all four. (Copied from another post I just answered!)
Daisy Jones and the Six! It’s a full cast audiobook! And the cast is amazing! Jennifer Beals, Benjamin Bratt, Pablo Schreiber, and Jonathan Davis (the lead singer of Korn)!
the gentleman’s guide to vice and virtue by Mackenzi Lee. the narration just made the story even better, and I’ve never laughed so hard listening to an audiobook. What makes it worse (or better depending on how you look at it) is that I listen to them while at the gym. I dont think I wouldve enjoyed the books as much as i did, if i had physically read them as opposed to listening to them
I dont know if you can find it, but Robert James Waller made an audio book of his short stories “Old Songs in a New Cafe” read by him. So good! I also loved The Boys in the Boat, My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She Is Sorry, Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, Fried Green Tomatoes, Henry’s Sisters
I love autobiographies and memoirs by women and narrated by the author. It is like they are telling me stories. I’m the world’s biggest HRC fan so I love listening to her books on audio (as long as she narrates them)…I’m listening to Becoming by Michelle Obama now.

I always recommend The Martian, because it was my first real audiobook, I love the story, and RC Bray is a fantastic narrator IMO.
Totally agree – The Martian’s narration was PERFECTION.
Sadie! It is unlike most audiobooks, feels more like a …play? (hørespill) lots of narrators, some melodybits. Just an awesome audiobook experience!
i sent this text to my friend when he was debating on trying an audiobook for the first time
