I have way too many books to make a list. Instead I make a books read list and list the ones I did get around to reading lol. But some that I definitely want to read are Hank Green’s book and Kati Morton’s book.
ooh excited since I have given it some thought..2666 by Robert Bolano, Possession by A S Byatt, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, American Tabloid by James Ellroy and Bay’s End by Edward Lorn.
@Aspen in brief, it is about the interrelated stories of two victorian critics who discover secret love letters between two victorian poets. Through this correspondence, the story explores the romance during the Victorian era. The title is actually Possession: A Romance by A S Byatt. It won the Booker Prize in 1990.
@Alison I saw it in one of the bookshops here and read a bit…and I loved it. I’m saving it for next year only because I want to finish some of the books I still have from this year…
These are all on my list for next year, since they won’t be published until then: The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden, In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire, The Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty, Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James, The Psychology of Time Travel by Kate Mascarenhas, Early Riser by Jasper Fforde, Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi, Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi, Ask Again, Yes: a Novel by Mary Beth Keene, AND OMG, I can’t wait—The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern!!
Eric Metaxas’ Luther, a biography of Martin Luther is very well written and has it all- history of Germany and the Catholic Church, theology and humor.
Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty and I’m not sure what else. I’m hoping some nice thick tomes which are really interesting with lots of character develop will become available as those are, in general, my favorite type of fiction.
Chan, I checked those books out.The Engagements, I’ve read and enjoyed. I put the other two on my TBR list. The Kind Worth Killing looks really interesting!
I may be officially excluding the living presidents, but I do own a book on Clinton, Bush 1, and Obama. I don’t expect a fair book on Trump for a hundred years. Seriously.
Aftercare instructions – Bonnie Pipkin Girl made of stars – Ashley Herring Blake The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo – Taylor Jenkins Reid Words on Bathroom walls – Julia Walton The royal we – Heater Cocks What’s if it’s us – Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera
Beth Mills wow! I never thought of doing that. And he has written so many! I have read many but not according to publication date. Happy reading though! I might just consider doing that in future but the tbr’s I currently got is staring back at me with crazy eyes!!
Next year I ‘m lowering my book goal to half of this year. I want to tackle some books I have been avoiding this year. Like It, Ulysses, and War and Peace to name a few.
Nine Perfect Strangers The Masterpiece The Alice Network The Rain Watcher The Tattooist of Auschwitz one by Hemingway And a couple of childhood favorites, probably The Borrowers and Black Beauty

Hank Green has a book? I didn’t know that! I’d love to see his style of writing!
It just came out recently, I think! I was going to pre-order a signed copy when it first released but I didn’t have the money then.
It’s called “An Absolutely Remarkable Thing”
That stinks…. though, the book still has the author’s thoughts. That’s more precious than an autograph in my opinion.
Very true! And I already have a book signed by John so at least I have one of their signatures.
Oh, which one? Also, here’s a fun fact: John Green and I share the same birthday.
Turtles All the Way Down. And that’s cool!
ooh excited since I have given it some thought..2666 by Robert Bolano, Possession by A S Byatt, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, American Tabloid by James Ellroy and Bay’s End by Edward Lorn.
Possession, American Tabloid, and Bay’s End sound intriguing. What’s Possession about?

I read Possession back in the ‘90’s but I remember that I loved it. Maybe I should pull it off the shelf and read it again.

I plan to wrap up some series that I have been nursing.
Any specific genre?
@Aspen ya and urban Fantasy
@Erica Urban Fantasy, like City of Bones?
@Aspen yeah and the lunar chronicles. I started both a long time ago so its time to finish them.
I own over 3000 books….so just to make a tiny dent would be nice lol.

Depends on what the book clubs are reading. But I am planning on doing a study of the Reformation during Lent. Any suggestions?
