@Mary no. You can have either- or both. You don’t get audible books with prime membership ( as far as I know). I’ve used Audible at least 15 years – Prime at least 12
The worth depends on you, I’m a mom with barely any time to read at home so I listen on audible while I’m at work. One of Amazon prime’s benefits is they have a lot of free ebooks as opposed to audible where you either purchase books with your credits or daily deals, they do have a sale from time to time but it’s very rare for free audiobooks.
I’ve got Netflix and prime but have had audible. Got so many books lined up to listen to I stopped my subscription. If I go back I’ll cancel prime – only two subs at a time is my rule otherwise it gets too expensive
Neither! Its its audiobooks you are looking for, Scribd is $8 a month for unlimited audiobooks and ebooks. Smaller selection then audible, but plenty of great options.
It all depends on you. If you are big on audible than I guess that membership is better. I rarely do audible I tried the free trial and then cancelled it. But I have kept prime for almost 3 years and that is because we do most of our shopping online so the free shipping is huge and the video and music is a plus. There are other perks with prime like kindle first. So it all boils down to what you need or use more. The prime membership is a little hefty but it’s once a year. I believe they have a monthly fee but the price went up on the monthly one. I like to pay it all at once and get it over with. I have other amazon devices (echo) and love to stream music while cooking or doing chores so prime works better for my household
Amazon owns Audible
So I need prime for that too?

@Carol which one do you like better or in other words which one is more worth it?
Prime. Only because you can get most of your audio books downloaded from library for free. I like Prime cuz of free shipping, videos, music

I have and love both.
Doesnt prime come with audible? I cant have people read to me. I feel like they read too slow.
Nope. Separate subscription.
I’m not big on people reading to me. I want me to read it myself.
So is it like a library where you borrow and then return?
Library membership…Libby and Hoopla….free or small annual fee and you will have all of the audible & ebooks you want.
Amazon Prime for me because it is so much easier to order books and have them come to my door.
Amazon Prime just announced they are going up.

Neither if I’m honest. I’ve had the free trial for both but I can’t justify the cost of them.

Neither. Borrow from library. Great selection and free.
