In my opinion no. You only get one credit a month. I really liked scribd. Its 8.99 but you get one audio book and three ebooks a month, plus theres tons of free ones too.
Oh thats cool. I havent had it for a while so Im not sure. But i loved it while I did. Onlh bad thing is you do lose everything once your not a member anymore.
I’m an avid audible user. I have the highest package and still have to buy more credits sometimes ? I listen sooo much and I love it. I highly recommend. I wouldn’t be able to read so much with out it and it makes the mundane chores and tasks bearable. Plus physically reading has been a chandler with me trying to not get distracted but the listening works for me!
That’s a relative question. For me it is because I listen to audiobook constantly. I have been an audible user since 2006. It allows me to get audiobooks fast and easy on my devices. Try it out and if it is good then fine if not stop. The books don’t just disappear once your no longer a member. Good luck and enjoy. ??
My husband listens to audio books on his hour drive to work he’s only gone through 3 in 2 months but now he’s working nights and listening then too so he’ll go through them quicker
I check YouTube first. A lot of books at least have the first chapter available. The I check audiovox, and if the book is in public domain then you can listen for free. Then I ask friends because you can send books on audible.
Yes! I walk, train, and teach obedience behavior classes. I listen when I drive, walk, and do housework. The audiobook is the canine professional’s best friend 🙂
YES! As a working mom I don’t have much free time to just sit and read a book, but with audible I put on my Bluetooth headphones and listen while I do housework or gardening.
Get a library card and Download overdrive (which connects you to your library’s collection) and hoopla (if you library has purchased it). Even with just Overdrive, I am never at a loss for audiobooks. Hoopla (which I just learned about this week) has been bonus.
The subscription…not really. But occasionally I don’t see an audiobook on overdrive, so I’ll use some audible credits. I think there are cheaper options out there, though.
Yep I listen for multiple hours a day because of my job and love it! Even when I’ve gotten a book I didn’t love they offer free returns no questions asked.
No… Buy a kindle fire it has a text to Speech button. The voice is the same so I find it easier to get lost in the story and not have to get used to a different voice for each book. X (plus it only cost me either the price of an e book)
It is for me. I spend a lot of time walking, and cooking and other things that prevent me from reading. It is the multi-tasking way of indulging in novels so I go through a lot, and the subscription makes it much cheaper.
I love Audible. The UK membership I pay for is a £109 a year and you get 24 books a year for that plus access to their daily deals they have each day of a book costing £1.99-£2.99 a month and they have the deals throughout the year. You can return your book if you don’t like it which I have done quite often. I listen for several hours everyday because I’m bedbound with chronic illness so its really good value for me.

i think scribd just changed to unlimited for that same price.

Just return books and you can buy as many as you want. They give you a credit back anytime you return a book. No limitations or anything
I’m pretty sure they will restrict you if you return too many books – it’s a service as part of a business after all.
Catherine Webb stated on their page that it is unlimited as long as you’re a subscriber

Thought you could only send the book for them to use as their first joining book ? Or am I missing a trick somewhere lol
Yes….. unlimited returns. You can take chances on books
I use it all the time but I travel for work I find myself buying the three credits deal alot which is still cheaper then paying for three books
Ye I have something like 60 books on audible and I’ve only really been using it about a 2 years
I’ve used it for three but about that many titles as well
My listening time is astronomical at this point
Wow I didn’t think it would be this much tho ?
I survive on Audio books because I’m a dog walker and am either driving or walking all the time.
Audible is fantastic. They are wonderful about returns if you don’t like the book and well worth the subscription.

Yes! When I’m driving to privates I have a large radius and they are a life saver!
And then out of state competitions? How do people do long drives without them?!
YES! As a working mom I don’t have much free time to just sit and read a book, but with audible I put on my Bluetooth headphones and listen while I do housework or gardening.

Yes, download overdrive it is better than audible because it supports your library and costs you no monthly subscription
I second this. I do home health so I’m always driving and I’ve used Overdrive for years
I think it is totally worth it.

I’ve seen people rip YouTube videos.
Definitely! All you need to do is return the books once your done and they give you a credit back for a new book!
Wish I got it sooner and would pay more lol

Yes,definitely if you listen regularly.
Agree with Brandon Lopez, some narrators make the books even better!
Totally!!!
