Jack London could really write. I loved all of his stuff. “To Build A Fire” is perhaps the best short story I ever read. And, if you liked “Call of the Wild,” then try “The Sea Wolf,” or “White Fang.”
My childhood dog was named Buck because of my dad’s love for this book. He was an Old English sheep dog and he watched after his flock of 6 children with duty, dignity and a great deal of love.
London’s storytelling/writing style is so concise. I loved reading it, even though it’s not the most pleasant story.
Loved it. I enjoy the old classics. Sea wolf is another good one.
So great. The captain, even when he was laid out and sick, was still so terrifying!
Classic storytelling! You can’t go wrong with Jack London!
A-freaking-men! Absolutely love this book!

so so many books, so little time. I read almost all the new novels that are turned out, but the classics still stand the test of time.
White Fang is another of my favorites-I will have to read The Sea Wolf though, thanks for the recommendation
Call of the Wild and White Fang, again and again. Will look for the short story.
Read the Sea Wolf many times!!

It is brutal but inspiring. I own a husky closest breed to wolf. Cunning and stubborn.
I agree!
