I don’t know. When I see a book I like, and I can’t afford it at the time, or it’s not available at the library, I do the same as @Marsha and add it to my Amazon wish list. About once every couple of months I go through and remove one’s I’ve gotten or read. My family has access to it.
I have several amazon wish lists..one that’s a generic catch all for whatever I see on Amazon I like.Have trained dh and kids to use that too, with lists for each person.. if they would but use it. I have one list for cookbooks..doesn’t mean I WANT them all, means I am interested in those titles..and will use Interlibrary loan to preview them.. and of course, I have a HUGE wish list for ILLS. My actual Christmas List is super short. Amazon makes list making too easy…LOL
Same here. I have a separate list for each of my kids and my husband. A general list, a book list, and a gift giving list(things I see I think others will like)
David Bowie: A Life by Dylan Jones Shirley Jackson: A Rather Haunted Life by Ruth Franklin The Bad Seed by William March? I have a few other titles, I’ll get them with any vouchers I get, if I get them of course.?
I suggested a Book Flood (based on the Icelandic tradition of book and chocolate giving on Christmas Eve) to my family. After wrangling it became an open draw. I told my BIL, who got me, I would like Henry Marsh’s new book about his life as a brain surgeon; Terra Incognita by Sara Wheeler (about Antarctica) or Nigel Slater’s Christmas book.
The Locke and Key hardcover editions 🙂
If I see a book I want I buy it. Who has time to wait for (in my case) Hanukkah?
some of us have to 😉
I usually buy myself a bag of books for Christmas. I’m making out the list today, so I’ll post later.
will patiently wait 😉

Just any books really….I am not picky LOL
I’ve asked for loads!! Tolkien limited editions, Stephen King, Blake Crouch “Wayward Pines”, Charlaine Harris “Midnight, Texas”…..
I like the way you think!
