Farseer trilogy Robin Hobb Mistborn Brandon Sanderson Codex of Alera Jim Butcher Shadows of the Apt Adrian Tch???? (Can’t spell surname don’t have book handy ??)
It’s good, just not very original. It’s a tale you’ve seen and heard a bunch of times. But the writing will get you hooked either way. And the villain is pretty interesting!
Red Rising by Pierce Brown or Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
Red Rising is good, Golden Son was not the best though in my opinion.
I liked Golden Son maybe better, haven’t read Morning Star yet ?
