Looks like a lot of you have been reading Where the Crawdads Sing. I don’t know anything about it. Is it good?

It is! I didn’t know anything about it either, and I’m so glad I read it.
Don’t read it expecting a wild ride of a plot – it unfolds gradually. I suggest letting yourself be drawn into the atmosphere and environment of Kya’s marsh world, and that, I think, is where the magic of this book is found.
It’s a treat!
I loved it
Very good!!
I’m half way through it and loving it!
Very good
I enjoyed it
I consider it up there with To Kill a Mockingbird.
This is a 5 star for me. This group is wonderful! At Christmas, I sent my children photos of books people on this page gave 4-5 stars. I received 7 of these books as gifts. Every single one was superb!!!!!
What a great idea.
The flora and fauna of the marsh is magical. The author is rooted in the science of it all, so the setting is key. You’ll smell it and feel the humidity. That’s the ride. This feral child is raised and responds in marsh culture.
I just finished it last night. Five stars for me. You can see that the author is knowledgeable about research on flora and fauna. I loved that she incorporated her experience into the storyline.
Sounds wonderful. Thanks, everyone! Will get it the next time I buy books.
I’m about 75% through and enjoying it. A very wonderful story. But I’m a nature girl so it really appeals to me. I love the Everglades.
i enjoyed it. didn’t love it, but don’t regret reading it at all! the descriptions of the natural environment are beautiful
Loved it
??
I loved it!
I am reading it now
Absolutely wonderful!
Has anyone read Into the Water by Paula Hawkins? It’s wonderful!
I have and enjoyed it. Liked The Girl on the Train better, though.
I haven’t read Girl on a Train yet.
I didn’t like it much. Didn’t hate it either.
Loved it!
Fantastic
Excellent read.
I’m in the middle of it. So far hard to put down.
I reviewed it if you want to read my review https://pennyformythoughts-nona.blogspot.com/2019/02/where-crawdads-sing.html?m=1
Thanks! It’s definitely going on my list.
I liked it a lot.
Yes!!!
In the middle of Crawdads. Really enjoying it. Was not sure I would—early comments seemed to favor it and then the naysayers showed up expressing their displeasure. So far I like it!
Fantastic
I’d love a few sentences about it. Thanks.
Yes!
Abandoned as a child, ridiculed for her disarray, she manages to make it to be a strong woman.
Excellent. Just finished it.
Reading it now
I enjoyed it, but not enough to want to re-read it.
Very good!
It’s great!!!
It was so perfect! About love, sadness, coming of age, abandonment, redemption and, above all, nature.
Awesome book!!!
My daughter liked it!
Fabulous!
Just finished for book club and it was good!
So good so good so good!

It is on my list.

Marvellous read
I loved this
Excellent!
I struggled threw it. Too wordy for me, I finished it, glad I read it but not my thing at all
Fantastic book!
Yes, very good
Excellent book!!
It’s about a young girl growing up in the swamps mostly their alone, she is very shy, now if you like books that tells you how this land looks, so you can feel her environment, I love books like that others think it’s a waste of words!
If it is a waste of words, it is a beautiful waste of words! There can’t be too many words in good writing anymore than there can be too many notes in a beautiful aria by Mozart.
I found this book interesting in different ways, liked it well enough, the ending was good!! 🙂
