Don’t feel guilty……. I did the same thing.
Now I did love the book and finished it. I would recommend it. But there was a moment in the middle that I honestly got a little bored. Theres a lot of description. I know it’s highly highly recommended. But I’ve read better.

I was that way about All The Light We Cannot See. I have started 3 times and can’t get through it! I WANT to like it…..

I don’t get past the first couple of chapters I didn’t like it.

I reserved it from my library…still waiting but I have a feeling its not going to be for me. People are comparing it to Pat Conroy….not a big fan. We’ll see. I hope I love it and you do too…if not…next?
@Annie well I am a huge Conroy fan and I disagree Crawdad comes no where near with character depth.
It was one of the best books I’ve read in years. Great story and characters. Keep going – I think you’ll like it ?
For me, it started too slow. I’m about 1/4 of the way in and just starting to get into it

I’m so glad I’m not the only one! I thought it was just okay. I had high hopes for it after all of the positive reviews, but I didn’t love it.

@Ursula – I’m going to do the same thing. Sometimes I’m on “the list” so long that by the time the book gets to me, I’ve forgotten why I wanted it in the first place.
I finished. Ending not entirely unexpected but well done.
