Stephen King could scare me if he wasn’t so long-winded that my brain wanders. Koontz actually is the only author that can make me consider sleeping with the light on. ?
I like them all. Check to see what you can get on discount and read what it’s about. That’s how I would choose. He has sooo many books out. Bargain bins always have something from him.
A friend of mine was reading the Odd Thomas series, and was surprised that I hadn’t. Boy, was I hooked, and loved every single one of them, right to the finale which had me in tears. Do yourself a favour and read this series.
My suggestion would be to start with his older books. I started my love of this genre with him and Steven King back in the 70’s. I could never get enough. I have to admit I haven’t read many of his newer books but would definitely recommend any of his older stuff.
I tried reading one of his books in high school and counldn’t get into it. This post has made me reconsider. I guess I will be making a trip to the library tomorrow.
I believe my dad has read some of his work and liked it

@Bergen thats good i started reading breathless by him today
Like most prolific authors who have written many many books some are good and others so so.
It’s hit or miss. Some good, some not so.
My suggestion would be to start with his older books. I started my love of this genre with him and Steven King back in the 70’s. I could never get enough. I have to admit I haven’t read many of his newer books but would definitely recommend any of his older stuff.
@Lisa ok thank you
I tried reading one of his books in high school and counldn’t get into it. This post has made me reconsider. I guess I will be making a trip to the library tomorrow.
