I started Annihilation and just couldn’t get into it because of the writing style. I will look into the other one.

The Girl Before by JP Delaney (it’s so good it’s in my predictive text from so many recommendations). I’d say it’s psychological thriller

Or adventure, then I would recommend Matthew Reillys series about jack west Jr. Action from one end to the other in a really easy flow in the style of Indian Jones and James Bond

But make sure you read throne of glass first not the assassin’s blade

The lost symbol is better….it has a climax in like every single page and it not like the story starts late, it grabs your attention in the first page
