I want to read The Twilight Series. I have seen all movies. What is your take on the books? Are the books better than the movies?
I want to read The Twilight Series. I have seen all the movies. What is your take on the books? Are the books better than the movies?
The movie is a typical book to movie tragedy.
And the books are always better than the movie.
Books are def better than the movies. Almost always (in general) but especially in this case.
I loved the books, only watched the first film and hated it.
The book series is much better in my opinion.
Ohhh don’t even get me started on that series. It’s my FAVORITE!!!! It’s what got me into reading.
@Kelli I’m coming off of two very emotional books. Do you think this series is a good follow up?
Amanda McDowell it’s a good series. I read the first three books in a week and I cried and cried when I finally finished the last. Specially when I was reading the second book and I played Bella’s lullaby in the background!! My heart!! You will fall in love. That series Changed my life. Helped me get through high school! I think it’ll be a good follow up. It has some parts that’ll make you tear up if you fall in love with the characters like I did. But all in all, it’s a pretty smazing series.
@Kelli i so wish I read in high school. ?
@Amanda well you can read it now!! ? it’ll have the same effect if you let it!! ❤️
@Kelli I’m hoping it does
even though its young adult fiction, I really enjoyed the story . I listened on audiobook ( and I was Team Jacob) You will know what I mean when you read the books , I could not do the movies though
@Kajoli I was team Edward all the way! (Still am! I’m 26 and have a blanket and a pillowcase with his face in it!!)
Team Edward ?
Bracking dawn was fav
Books are better
I liked both but I think it’s a different experience reading a book to watching it however good the movie is ?
The books are so much better.
Better than movies.
The books are ten thousand times better than the movies. I reread them every year.
Books are way better. Bella was portrayed all wrong in the movies
Totally agree.
I just reread all the books after 12 years and they were just as amazing.
Books are way better!
The books are so so so so much better ????
Books are MUCH better!
Love them both.
I enjoyed both but the books are better!! Definitely worth a read!
Way better
I have 3 extra copies of Eclipse. Want one? Lol
Love the books. 🙂
Books are ALWAYS better than the movies! Love the books!
Liked the books better but movies are good too just not as good
Hate them all. Read the whole series. Sorry, I just don’t like any book where the woman is a whimp, expects her “man” to defend her, dumps a guy because he was confused not wanting to get her involved and her turning around and running to a guy friend who loves her but she only considers him still a friend but pretends to love him just because her guy is gone. She’s high maintenance and needs to go.
There. You have MY opinion about the books.
@Tammy I used them as an example of what kind of man to AVOID. Told all 3 of my girls to not bring an Edward home. They have compiled ?
Meh. I finished them, they were ok. I will agree with everyone else that the books were better than the movies. They would’ve been great when I was a sophomore. Her book The Host was great.
@Jennifer oh yes I loved The Host. I wish she’d go back and write another in that series. Definitely better than Twilight.
I really enjoyed both !
I enjoyed them a lot when I read them in like 7th or 8th grade, although the receive a lot of backlash they’re not HORRIBLE. Not the best writing but I enjoyed the story!!
Not really my thing but the books were better.
Love the books! They are waayyy better than the movies.
They arent going to change your world but they were fun. File under guilty pleasure.
I loved the books! Way better than the movies!
The books are soooo much better
Much much better than the films. Enjoy!
I didn’t mind the movies, but I didn’t like the first book so I didn’t finish the series, however I am writing a book atm and my MFC is obsessed with the series. It’s kind of fun to write about ?
I really liked the books, I loved the films too. It’s one of my favourite series as well as Harry Potter & The Hunger Games
The books are definitely better imho
I enjoyed the books (more than the movies, but I also enjoyed those in a guilty pleasure way). The author writes angsty teen love pretty well. Not the greatest writer overall, but you don’t read those for the great literature so they’re fine/good.
I understand the appeal of the books, if you like love triangles and all that. And if you’ve watched the movies and liked them, you’ll probably like the books better. Unless the writing turns you off (which was a point against the books for me). I personally didn’t like the books, but I read them for the vampire and werewolf lore, I found the author’s take on them interesting, but OMG! Stupid idiotic teenagers ? lol.
@Lysa truth – so unrealistic gender stereotyping – but definitely enjoyable
The books are awesome
I liked both but hate Kristen Stewart as Bella. Her angst is so painful to watch! I bust up everytime the line “ you were gone” comes up! It’s like he doesn’t even know you yet, you’ve never even talked! Lol!
Oh and was Team Jacob! Lol
Books are better.
I actually just finished Life and Death, a retelling of the first book with a male character in place of Bella. It also was really good.
Love the books! They got me into reading! But I read them in high school so not sure how I’d go with them now ?
I thought the books were much better! A fun series to read!
I must be one of those rare people that didn’t like the books or the movies. There was just to much about it that turned me off. LOL
Nah, you’re definitely not alone.
I couldnt finish them. Not my kinda books.
I personally feel that the characters went from being vampires with powers to X-Men.
I liked em.
The movies leave so much out and twist it a little. I read the books first then got the movies.
I thought you were on about Twilight zone ?
I loved the books started my love for reading
I LOVE the books and the movies!!!
I loved the books, much better than the movies…
I have all of the hard covers, and kept them.
i loved the books so much although i still need to read them in english i read them in dutch but they where so good!! i dont like the films though :S
I haven’t read them but my granddaughter & niece loved them.
They are also perfect for when you want and easy quick read.
I will always be a Twi-Hard!! Lol!! Read all the books 4 times and I binge watch the movies at least yearly!! I love both! I have also been to Forks three times ??
So Jealous, being to Forks! Is it as it was portrayed in the movies!?
Joe Campbell its what she describes in the books. They used places in Oregon and an Oregon school for movie and computer generated the wooden hs sign from the actual school tho!!
I read all the books but honestly feel the movies were better. Edward is emotionally abusive sometimes in the books.
I personally adore the books, but I see every flaw that Meyer’s made.
I love the books!
I love the books so much! ♥️
