Wally Lamb, Andre Dubus 111, Sophie Hannah, Tana French, Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child ( the Penddagast series), Dennis Lehane. That’s good for now.
Susan Mallery, Karen Kingsbury, Sophie Kinsella, Jane Green, Diana Gabaldon and Lori Wick are some of my favorite authors. Take your pick and thank me later. 😁😉
Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman, Maia Sepp, V.E. Schwab, Mary Roach, Joseph Bruchac, Diane Glancy, Robert Cormier, S.E. Hinton, Shirley Jackson, Anthony Horowitz, Billie Letts, Derek Landy, Jasper Fforde, Christopher Paolini…
Love Tana French, just started reading Neil Gaiman, enjoyed him as well.
Shall I just share a pic of my shelves? Pretty much everything on it I suggest
An “old” author I love is Nevil Shute.. He wrote “On The Beach” and “A Town Like Alice”
“On the Beach” — a remarkable novel
@George Have you read any others?
@Ann Alas, no, only ONTB :):):)
He was a very good author .. one who drew his characters with grace and wit.. many from everyday jobs, but thrust into interesting situations..no super heros, just ordinary folk..”A Town Like Alice” was made into a series on PBS.. the original title was “The Legacy”..
@George I found OTB in the library several months ago and re-read it. It brought back memories of discussions I had when it came out. Have you read, “Alas, Babylon”? Can’t recall the author.
Derek B. Miller’s Norwegian by Night .
Angela Carter, Essie Fox, Karen Maitland, Katherine Arden, John Boyne, Joanne Harris, Anne Rice.
Lisa Jewell! The Girls in the Garden
ian rankin, Frank schätzing, Jussi Adler Olsen, Tom Rob Smith
Other old English authors from the past are Howard Spring and Warwick Deeping. Very old fashioned of course, but lovely prose and good stories!
