Have you tried any Australian writers??? I’m unsure whether they’re promoted elsewhere. Do you prefer fiction or non-fiction!? Tim Winton is a fabulous West Australian writer… And I love Helen Garner too.
@Sydney ok – well there are some wonderful Aussie writers who I’m sure you could locate on online sites. I do enjoy Helen Garner – I love her observations of characters and situations. I have just read a book titled Eggshell Skull – it is a confronting read inasmuch as it is about a young lawyer who in her 1st year is attached to a Judge who travels around Queensland – and most of his cases are to do with kids being interfered with. Tim Winton is a beautiful writer and very evocative in his use of language – and a local – there’s a start!!! Elizabeth Jolley is wonderful too. She died a few years ago but quite a quirky writer. Good luck and let me know how you go.
Colleen Hoover, KA Tucker, Jennifer Donnelly, Harlan Coben, James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, Jodi Picoult, Liane Moriarty, Sarah Dessen and if you’re looking for a specific book, Where The Crawdads Sing (currently reading)
Karen White, Mary Alice Monore, Janet Dailey, Anne Rivers Siddons, Spencer Quinn’s Chet and Bernie series, and B. Ross, Miss Julia series, virgin River series by Robin Carr,
Robyn Carr, Janet Dailey, Abbie Roads, Linda Lael miller, Cynthia Edens, Julie Garwood, Beverly Barton, stephanie Bond, Cindy Gerard, and so so so many more.
J.D. Robb, Patricia Gibney, Elizabeth George, Karin Slaughter, J.T. Ellison, Lisa Jackson, Heather Gudenksuf, Lisa Scottoline, Lisa Jackson, J.A. Jance, P.J. Tracy, Greg Iles, CJ. Box, David Baldacci, C.J. Box, Kristin Hannah, Erica Spindler, Cody McFayden, Jo Nesbo just to name a few.
