Laurell K Hamilton… she helped to create the paranormal romance genre. She can get quite smutty though.

Charlaine Harris is less smut. If you’ve seen True Blood you’re familiar with the characters but the books are completely different.

JR Ward has a very fascinating POV on vamps that’s great to read.

Amanda Stevens Graveyard Queen series. I generally don’t enjoy paranormal but I stumbled upon this series and loved it.

Valeria I know!! I feel the same about it. I tell everyone to read it. It’s really great. And I also don’t feel like I’m reading something ridiculous. Even though it’s considered paranormal, it feels very grounded in reality.

Kimberly it’s true. It’s the opposite of the books I’ve read with paranormal and romance as a description. Feels more like a thriller that happened to have a paranormal element to it.

I agree. It think that’s why I liked it. It has romance but is a really natural grown up kind of romantic element. And the paranormal part is more mysterious than you would get in say a vampire book or something of that nature.
