For YA fantasy, Kendare Blake, Sarah J Maas, Cassandra Clare, Richelle Mead, PC and Kristin Cast, Michael Scott
For something more Sci fi-ish Scott Westerfeld has a few good series
Also Robert Muchamore has a really good series called CHERUB
