There are also nonfiction guides that go along with the topic of each book in the series to explain what it means.
Any of the Branches books. Like Magic School Bus, Eerie Elementary, Dragon Masters, The Last Firehawk. They say Branches at the top of the binding. They are amazing and thats what got my son into reading.

Little House on the Praire books were some of my favorite growing up. Series of unfortunate events is also a fun read.
