Evil child! I’m only on page 92. Suzette just discovered the morbid picture Hanna made.

After reading a flashback scene I’m beginning to think this book is about what happens when a Mom doesn’t discipline but is rather abusive.

WEll, true. This story is exaggerated. I’ve also been wondering if Hanna is possessed by Ann-Marie Duffoset or is just using her for inspiration. No spoilers!

About that ending…

Shelby

@Joseph Yeahhh.. about that. What’s the consensus?

The last part of the book wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I mean bad as in horrific. It was kind of anticlimactic. I enjoyed reading it and the very end felt like an ending of a movie for which you know there will be a sequal.

Shelby

Yeah and there won’t be a sequel the author said… so that’s what’s a little disappointing.

JosephQuestion author

really, weird. I was imaging Hanna older, like maybe a teenager stalking her mother, trying to kill her, etc.

Shelby

@Joseph Yeah.. but you know, what I’ve noticed with books in the genre of horror, is that they almost always end the story in a way that makes it open to interpretation. So I’ve stopped being disappointed at horror endings. lol.

some of them are like that. It reminds me of the end of Carrie when her arm shot out. It could’ve meant a sequel too.

I was up late last night finishing the book.
