The Hitchhicker’s Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams. Utterly superb. This series holds the record for making me laugh the hardest, The longest and the most. It got several unattractive snorts out of me in public. Gotta love the weird looks people give you when that happens.
Depressed robots, presidents of the galaxy that have no idea what they’re doing but still managing to do it and mice. It’s very dry humor, almost Monty Python-esque in places but it’s the record holder for me for everything involving laughter. Humor is super important to me. It is a major defining criteria for me for my ficrional books, so that’s really saying something.
I am in the middle of reading the series by Ben Aaronovitch about a policeman in London who can do magic. Brilliant stuff. Makes me laugh out loud! But it is British humour…
Couplehood by Paul Reiser, Magic 2.0 by Scott Meyer, Dave Barry’s complete guide to guys, Go Quest Young Man by K Bogen, Red Dwarf: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers
Let’s Pretend This Never Happened – it’s an auto biography about a blogger who is a sever introvert and socialy awkward. It’s hilarious, tragic, sarcastic, romantic, and weird
