The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
What are your interests? Non-fiction covers a broad category of books!
@Sue history like ww1 and ww2
Any specific categories? Themes? Eras?
@Heidi ww1 and ww2
@Sydney you might like Low Level Hell or The Price of Exit, both of which are about Vietnam era.
@Nalria ok thank you
I second all of these titles listed and I’ll add a couple of memoirs: The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls and Educated by Tara Westover
@Angie : both of these are excellent. Also in the same vein: All Over But the Shoutin’ by Rick Bragg. The other 2 books by Jeanette Walls are also as good as The Glass Castle.
@Angie
Loved The Glass Castle!

The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw.

In the Darkroom by Susan Faludi is amazing – I’m pretty into history, but I learned things about Hungary in WWII that were completely new to me.
Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls
Loved this book and the follow-up ‘Half Broke Horses’
‘Devil in the White City’ by Erik Larson “An irresistible page-turner that reads like the most compelling, sleep-defying fiction” Re: Chicago 1893 Chicago World’s Fair
