It varies. I try to read when commuting to work, but sometimes I just don’t have the energy or attention. If I want to read, I do. If I’m not in the mood, I don’t.
Me too As a gamer and a reader, i spend more time playing than reading. I only read at school or when I’m addicted to the story or when i’m getting bored with playing or just try to relax. I really try to read more nowadays
As often as possible. At least 2 hours a day. I watch very little TV an do not Cook, so I hve lots of time to read. As I am in 9 book clubs, must read at least 9 a month.
I work full-time, am a single mom of two kids, have a network marketing side gig, and am treasurer of my son’s band boosters. I’m lucky to get in 30 minutes before I fall asleep at night.
As often as I can….I tend to get peopled out especially around the holidays (a trip to the store will completely drain me) so I’ll sneak away. It’s not always easy as I have a toddler as well. 1-3 hours before bed for sure.
I’m retired so I have lots of time to read. Some days I read the paper at breakfast then pop on the couch to read until someone in the house gets hungry. Sometimes this is lunch, sometimes dinner. Other days I have appointments. If I have to sit in a doctor’s waiting room or at the hairdresser’s I have my Kindle. I haven’t gotten into audiobooks yet but have a set of earphones ordered so I can read at the gym. It’s an addiction for sure.
@Alice, I agree also! Somehow something always needs cleaning or doing! Once in a while I set my oven timer for an hour and promise myself that hour to read. Otherwise it’s grabbing a book as I climb into bed and then not remembering a thing I read when I look at it next.
@Karen I am of retirement age but still working (part-time) and babysitting for a grandchild and volunteering. Thought I’d have lots of time to read but it hasn’t turned out that way. I might try the oven timer some afternoon soon.
It really depends on the day. Most evenings before I go to bed, I do manage at least an hour. On Saturdays I almost always get 2-3 hours. But every now and then, I don’t get any reading time at all. ?
I’m not sure. I try to read a chapter, then get up and do something for a while. Repeat. I guess it depends on the other things I have or want to do in a day. I really do like to stop at the end of a chapter whenever that is possible for me.
It’s hard to say how many hours I read, particularly if I include scrolling and audiobook listening. I read everyday, possibly for one third of my waking hours, maybe more.
I’m jealous! I get in about 1 hr/day every other day. If I’m on a deadline (i.e., one of my book club meetings is coming up) I can sneak in an hour/ day.
It depends on the day. Sometimes an hour, sometimes 9 or 10 hours. It mostly depends on what real world stuff i have to do
I read 4 or 5 hours a night once my kids are in bed. Then I listen to Audio books for 3-4 hours driving and at work.
That’s awesome
That’s my goal as well

Usually between 2-3hrs at night once the children are in bed sometimes more in the day if I get chance.
@Laura same. Go to sleep kiddos! ?
Whenever and wherever I can ☺️ xxxx

Probably an hour a night, once I get in bed.
Daily!
Depends on my day
It depends on the day but I plan to read an hour or so a day, doesn’t always happen though x
Some days hours and hours… most days an hour or two… some days not at all (a rare one). Just depends on what’s happening!
Anywhere between about zero and 18 hours lol.
I try to do a hour a day but doesn’t happy to offend sorry to say
Depends on what I’m reading. Sometimes hours, other times, an hour or so.
All day.
Me too

@Kathy same!
Same, about 2 hrs a day, more if possible
I try to read about 2 hours each evening, but frequently fall asleep after 30 minutes.
@Brenda , you can last thirty minutes? ?
Only if I start before 8 pm. 😀
It depends, usually about 30-60 minutes. If I’m having an off day then I lie in bed and read more
As often as I can….I tend to get peopled out especially around the holidays (a trip to the store will completely drain me) so I’ll sneak away. It’s not always easy as I have a toddler as well.
1-3 hours before bed for sure.
For pleasure? Not enough. For work? All damn day!
@Sabrina , bummer
About the same sometimes more.
I finally have to read when I get into bed at night, but then I fall asleep!
If I have to work and study I read about 1-2 hours, if I don’t have to either work or study I read all I can.
As often as I can
As much as ican.

I never timed it but I’m retired and read many hours every day. It really depends on the book.
Not as much as I would like to! ?
@Alice I agree!

Till I fall asleep usually 10-15 minutes. When on vacation, much more.

All day in between other activities. About 5 hours I guess.
2 hours. 1 hour of listening to an audiobook During workout and 1 hour of evening reading.
I read at least that long!!
Every minute I can
At least 1 hour
Like an hour or 2 if I read that day. I don’t read everyday
I’m not sure. I try to read a chapter, then get up and do something for a while. Repeat. I guess it depends on the other things I have or want to do in a day. I really do like to stop at the end of a chapter whenever that is possible for me.
4 to 8 hours a day??
When you retire the world is your Library.???
Aryan Tanwar Cheer Up, someday you will roam from book to book. I put 40 years in the Police Department, to be able to do this.???
Not enough! Not even an hour. No wonder I never finish books. I have luck with audiobooks.
At least 30 mins/day. Some days I do better.
It’s hard to say how many hours I read, particularly if I include scrolling and audiobook listening. I read everyday, possibly for one third of my waking hours, maybe more.
3-4 hours daily. Sometimes a book is so good that I will start and finish it the same day.
I plan on reading for an hour after getting into bed. It usually lasts about 10 min. ?
I don’t read every day so when I do, I binge. Like 4 hours, or finish the book, or as much as I can get away with.
Every.single.day. Usually 1-3 hours
I read about an hour to two depending on the day!
Likewise…sometimes more…
I can read up to 10 + hours if the book is really good.
Mostly 5 hours now I am retired. 3 or 4 hours while I worked. I’m an ex library tech.
as much as i can

@Denise , lol. You, me and everyone here ?
Every day.
