I’m an English teacher. This time of year, I get 4-5 hours a day and sometimes more! Lately, I’ve averaged a novel every 1-2 days. That being said, I get almost no time for leisure reading during the school year when I’m grading essays and reading for work! When school is in session, I’m lucky to finish a novel in 2-3 weeks!
I’ve been listening to books because I’ve been crocheting little stuffed animals for kids with cancer. Each “critter” takes upward to six hours. I guess I read about one to two hours a day.
I read in bed every time (no tv in our bedroom) and I usually travel for work (airport and plane time) so that’s usually about 10 hours a week. Usually works out to a book a week.
Lots. Most times, I’d rather read than watch TV. For a reader the only real difference is whether you’re watching your “movie” or one someone else made. 🙂
Hmm. An hour at lunch 4 days a week; then maybe 2 – 6? hours at night, depending how badly my back hurts at night. I often wake up in the wee hours due to back pain, so i read. Then on weekends I read as much as possible. 24 hours+ per week, maybe?
Like @Pam said, I read during my lunch break 5 days a week plus another 2-4 hours at night each evening and on the weekends. So I’d say 25ish (give or take) hours a week?
I only ear-read and I’m rarely without earphones – at work and at home, in the car, even as I go to sleep, I’m listening. Probably 35 – 40? I average 3 books a week. If I had to hold a book, definitely it would be much less.
That was me when I was still working! I worked at the hospital and had to get up at 4:15 am. I remember sooo many mornings when I would drag myself in after staying up too late reading! Now I am retired and I don’t have to worry about it! ?
I’m a stay at home mom and a writer so I’m kind of retired. I get to make my own schedule anyway. My son sleeps until between 10-12 noon and I write between 10pm-2am depending on my word count. Then I read until my eyelids are leaden (4-5am). I’m still exhausted at the crack of noon but it’s worth it.

Not enough
I try to get in 3 hrs per day
I have never thought about how long I read. I just read lol. If I had to guess it would be 10+ hours ?

My reading is mostly audio books and I average 90 min per day on week days during my commute to and from the office.
I’ve been listening to books because I’ve been crocheting little stuffed animals for kids with cancer. Each “critter” takes upward to six hours. I guess I read about one to two hours a day.

20 or so.
If I didn’t have to work, do laundry, dishes or cook – I would get in a lot more reading!
I am an avid reader some days I get in 5 to 6 hours. So in a week can get close to 45 hrs
2-3 hrs during week. 5+ on a good weekend per day.
Are you kidding? I read 2-3 hours minimum each DAY! Sometimes more.
Too many for the rest of my life – what’s housework? ?
I read in bed every time (no tv in our bedroom) and I usually travel for work (airport and plane time) so that’s usually about 10 hours a week. Usually works out to a book a week.
Probably 2-3 hours a day, more if I can
I try to read at least 30 minutes in the evening. Sometimes I get more and sometimes less.
Depends on the week…
2+ a day, depending on what’s going on..wish it could be more.
I try for 2 hours a day, some times more, mostly time gets away from me.
At least 20 hrs a week if not more.
Way too many??
Alot!!
As much as I possibly can each day!!!
I don’t work due to medical conditions and reading helps me keep sane. I read several hours a day.
I’m retired so I read during awake hours.
As many as I can
as many as possible

As many as I can get….at least 20 or more…
Lots. Most times, I’d rather read than watch TV. For a reader the only real difference is whether you’re watching your “movie” or one someone else made. 🙂

21+
Probably way too many judging by the number of chores that are left undone. Probably 5-8 hrs a day. Hey, I’m retired and I don’t watch much tv.
20+
Probably around 50. I don’t watch TV and I go to bed late, so I read most evenings.
It depends on how many I’m reading. I’ve usually got one by the bed, and one by the sofa.
Not enough ?
As much as I can. ?
Ditto.
I would say 2-3 hours most days

Oh… forgot to add in the audio….. that adds 5 to 8 hours a week.
Many. Not sure of a number, but I can read a book a day. *Disabled, not employed.
In the summer (I’m a teacher) I can easily read 3 books a week.
approximately 60
A lot. Now that I’m retired, I don’t keep track. 3-4 hours a night probably. Enough to keep me out of trouble!
Easily 15-20 hours. ????
Probably too many! Maybe 40 to 50.
There’s no such thing as reading too much! ?

That’s impossible!
Not nearly enough. I need a 26 hour day
Between 14-21. I can only read at night when my people are asleep. Can’t concentrate otherwise. So I stay up way too late every night.
That was me when I was still working! I worked at the hospital and had to get up at 4:15 am. I remember sooo many mornings when I would drag myself in after staying up too late reading! Now I am retired and I don’t have to worry about it! ?
