A lot of times I find them through recommendations on Amazon when looking up books. Also, Goodreads gives suggestions based on what I read. I also get them on here from other people.
One day I was walking my dog and a cloud burst caught me in the open! I duct into a door way to wait it out and a door opened and a hand clamped my shoulder! I jumped and turned around and a gentleman said come in and get out of this cloud burst! I thanked him and stepped in to a wonderfully warm and cozy lived in home and first thing I noticed was lots of books and a desk with paper and pens! I was ushered to achair and offered a cup of coffee and my dog a treat! I thanked him and said I love books and read alot! The man Smiled and walked over to a shelf and got a hard back book out and went to his desk and signed the inside cover and handed it to me! This was a author and he gave me a First edition of Dune,Signed by him,Frank Herbert??? So I have always let the stories /books find me????
I like going to Barnes and Noble. If I see a book that looks good I take it’s picture and when I get home put it on my very long Amazon wish list and/or look to see is my library has it.

I have no idea! They might in fact be stalking me… I often feel ambushed by new books or authors. I do not go looking, or if I do it does not register as so with me. I just need to actively sort through the ones I somehow stumble upon. The challenge for me is not in the finding of a book to read. It is choosing one (or two or three) to read at a time.
Just browsing a bookstore but not buying (borrowing from the library later.) Browsing the stacks in the library. That’s how I found some of my favorite books.
I usually find new stuff through recommendations from people especially Bill Gates or I just find something catchy at a store.
I tend to walk around book stores and look for interesting covers and, if the story appeals, I’ll check it out.
