I classify mine by topic, then usually alphabetical by author within each topic, although there are some exceptions. For example, mysteries, Christian books, poetry, and classics are alphabetized by author within each category. Foreign language books alphabetized by language. History books are sorted roughly in chronological order. If there’s a series, I try to keep them in order so I can read them chronologically.
I have my tbr books in my bedroom. The recent books I’m to read very soon is on a mini shelf next to the bed. The books I’ve finished are on one area, and cookbooks, craftbooks etc, are on another in my library. Organized by author and subject and sometimes by when I got them
Alphabetical order in the book cases and in no particular order in the drawers

By genre. It’s an ongoing process.
So not organized at all. I have no room to set up book shelves…yet…so they are in stacks.
I organize mine by genre then keep types within the genre grouped as well!
Each shelf is arranged by genre, sub genre, author or series and book height. I constantly argue with myself on how it’s done, lol.
Not organized other than read and to read.
I organize by series and by author
Chronological by subject.

Read on subject, TBR on color.
Alphabetically by author…at least, that’s how it started…
I need more bookcases so I can sort them again lol
By author
by colour
By author, then by read and unread (they are on 2 different shelves)
By author mostly
by subject/topic
I classify mine by topic, then usually by size within each topic
Mine are in a random order. I don’t do well with too much organisation.
By author ?
I like to organize them by genre and then by hight. Of course series have to be in the right order.
I think of organization, then realize i have a toddler so those rules dont apply
I put them on shelves. Period. If I have to go hunting for the book I’m wanting next, well, I’ll hunt. That’s part of the fun!
