The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross was my favourite this year!
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden, Vengeful by VE Schwab, The Poppy War by RF Kuang, and A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir were the standouts for me this year! There were more but these are the top 5 for me this year. So many hyped sequels coming out in January too, 2019 is gonna start of with a bang.
@Jennifer The wait for the Wicked King is almost over ?
I knowwwwww ? and the sequel to The Girl in the Tower comes out the day after. Not to mention King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo and The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Choski coming out in January too! It’s gonna be so good. ?
@Jennifer 2019 is going to be a good reading year ?
So many good books this year but I think the Red Winter trilogy by Annette Marie and Jex Lane’s Beautiful Monsters series are at the top for me.
@Sarah I haven’t heard of those before ? I’ll have to look into it ?

My favorites
I had Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick collecting dust for years after i read it as a preteen. I picked it back up and quickly finished that and the other three in the series. Then added her titles Black Ice and Dangerous Lies to the list. Black Ice was probably my favorite of the two not in the Hush Hush series.
