Anything grug. Hairy mclarey and Zachary quack. Anything by lucy cousins. Most dr suess but specifically abcs and fox in socks. Dream little one dream by sally Morgan.

My daughter loved the “Eloise” books by Kay Thompson and surprisingly my grandsons do too. One grandson’s new favorite is “The Flat Rabbit” by Bardur Oskarsson. The other’s favorite is actually a humorous book for adults called “All My Friends Are Dead” by Avery Monsen and Jory John, Fortunately, he doesn’t care about the darkly humorous text. He just likes it because there is a dinosaur on the cover.
The kids at my house love being read to – anything and everything! And reading to me! But one I especially love to read aloud, and have more than once is an older book, Twig by Elizabeth Orton Jones.

I read The Secret Garden to my child many times when he was five. I liked it because he always fell asleep to the descriptions of the garden – no other book had that effect!
