Favourite trilogies 🙂
Lord of the Rings, although with “The Hobbit”, there are 4.
lord of the rings and the balkan trilogy
Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. ????
Conrad Richter Awakening land trilogy
ooh not heard of this one
That trilogy was WONDERFUL!!! I believe it was made into a made for TV movie with Elizabeth Montgomery.
@Tracy its very old , The Trees, The Fields The Town 1940
I think it was reissued when they made it into a movie – 70’s maybe? It is historical fiction, so the books themselves are not ‘dated’ as realistic fiction would be .
The Jewel in the Crown.
John Jake’s The Kent Family Chronicles
The Black Jewels trilogy by Anne Bishop (she wrote more in the world she created, but these are a stand alone trilogy).
Pat Barker’s Regeneration trilogy, about WWI. I liked Olivia Manning’s Balkan Trilogy, too.
Shades of Magic! Also working on the Southern Reach trilogy right now and really enjoying it.
Mira Grant Newsflesh trilogy Stephen King Mr Mercedes trilogy Mira Grant Parisitology trilogy Octavia Butler Parable trilogy
Map of Time trilogy
LotR (as has already been mentioned) Raymond E Feist’s Magician (though it does tail off and isn’t worth pursuing past 3) Various Michael Moorcock eternal champion trilogies

The Century Trilogy (Ken Follett), The Inn Boonsboro Trilogy (Nora Roberts), The Last Hundred Years Trilogy: A Family Saga (Jane Smiley, Plantation Trilogy (Gwen Bristow), The Century Trilogy ( Petra Durst-Bennington) toname a few. I love trilogies /series.

Ahem. His Dark Materials was ALSO already mentioned by moi…. ? I am glad to see it again. The stories are SO good.
The Kingsbridge series – The Pillars of the Earth, etc. Fantastic read!
The Lisbeth Salander Millennial books starting with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
The Cairo Trilogy by Naguib Mahfouz. I read them a long time ago, but they have stuck with me.
LOTR. My Brilliant Friend (Neopolitan Series)
The Tea Rose trilogy (Jennifer Donnelly) and Born In trilogy (Nora Roberts)
The Lumatere Chronicles (Melina Marchetta) – starts with Froi of the Exiles. Megan Whalen Turner’s Thief series (though it’s a little more than a trilogy). The Wrinkle Quartet by Madeleine L’Engle. So many more – some I am not sure how many books there are going to be though. Jeanette Walls basically has a trilogy of her memoirs – The Glass Castle, The Silver Star, Half-Broke Horse’s (I think that’s correct).
Time After Time series by Mel Henry
The “Daughter of the Forest” trilogy by Juliet Marillier.
The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins
The maze runner. Although i’m not a fan of trilogies, loved that one (I would say it’s better than The Hunger Games, but that’s only my opinion)
I really liked the Mr. Mercedes Triology by Stephen King and the Promise Falls Trilogy by Linwood Barclay!
