@Jules Ursula le gain books are short and can be read as stand alone books

I don’t think I’ve come across many fantasy novels that short. I would however suggest an awesome stand alone that would be relatively short at ~400 pages by Naomi Novik called uprooted, or Neil Gaimans Neverhwere, think that was pretty short at about 300 pages
