Yes, except i have a huge problem with books I have gotten through the book funnel app. Every few days they show back up on my kindle. I have no idea why and how to stop it.
Thank you, @Lou! I can’t figure out how to delete them from bookfunnel. I delete them from my device but they show back up. I have deleted them numerous times.
@Annette you choose “Remove from device” or something like that. Then you’re asked if you want to remove from this device or all your devices including the Cloud. You choose “from this device only”.
@Annette Then, if you want to download it again, you click on “All” instead of “Downloaded” and you look for it. You can also click on the search icon and type in the title.
@Claire thank you. I clicked remove from device then went to Amazon and looked in the cloud and my book did not come up. I have so many books on my IPad I am afraid I will run out of room!
@Annette how did you look in the cloud? From the website? Or from your device? On your iPad or Kindle, even on your computer, you should have two lists for your books: “on your device” and “in the cloud”. You can click on the search icon and type the title of your book.
On my kindle (old version) I have separate folders/collections and put books into them the only thing that shows on main page is the folders and number of books in each
No…….I made a “collection” for books I’ve read….. I can refer to this list to recommend books to my friends and it also keeps track of how many books I’ve read……
95% of the time yes every once and awhile I find a good book (usually self help) that I want to keep available or for some [complicated] series I keep the previous books in case I need to look back and then delete the whole series when I am done reading
Yes, because it will remain in my amazon library.
I usually keep the book. But if I didn’t like it, and know I’ll never read it again, I delete it.
The same here
Nope. And the ones that come from the library are there too. Even though I can’t access them anymore.
No
Yes. I can always download it again. Frees up space
Sometimes. But I usually just keep it on there.
Yes
I have to. My kindle is nearly full.
No
Yes!
Yes
Nope. I have a ‘read’ folder and they go in there
Nope. I put them in a read folder. I like to see all my books. Even the ones I read.
How do you add them to read folder on kindle!
Thank you!
@Irida You long press in the book. A box will pop up and you touch “add to collection” . Go to make new collection. Make a collection that says read.
Then, you can just add them each time.
@Kasey thank you.
@Kasey
Thank you!!! I will try it
Yes
Oh I delete audio books
No
Yes, except i have a huge problem with books I have gotten through the book funnel app. Every few days they show back up on my kindle. I have no idea why and how to stop it.
I am not sure you can unless you permanently delete them!
Thank you, @Lou! I can’t figure out how to delete them from bookfunnel. I delete them from my device but they show back up. I have deleted them numerous times.
@Cathi that happened to me too and it drives me crazy. Sometimes I have 2-3 of the same book.
I archive it!
Yes
Yes I do. It’s still in your cloud so you can redownload it if you want to reread it again later.
Yes
I usually do from my device if it’s still on my amazon account…. unless it was a favorite
I do once I review it
Usually, yes. I have over 3,000 books so I need to free up space.
I remove the download, but it’s there in the cloud/archive to upload anytime for a re-read.
No
Yes
Where are they stored once deleted?
Cno
No
No…May want to read again!
No. They’re all there on my Paperwhite. I delete them off my phone or other devices I’m synced to.
No but I should so I don’t question myself… ” have I read this?!?” Or start reading it again and say “this seems very familiar”
For that reason I have a book journal so I know which one I already read
No
Yes
I remove from device but as it “travels up to the cloud”, it’s easily retrievable.
Usually
depends on the book and where it came from
No
I take them off my phone only
No
No
Yes, why?
No, unless it was horrible. So far, only one. I do remove them from the device to the cloud
No, unless I didn’t like it.
I don’t get rid of anything, even the awful books. I move to a “read” file…I just wish kindle offered a way to organize that way
Yep!
If I can find it after I finish it lol
A library book – Always. So the next person can read it!
I delete it from my device. If I want to download it again, I can
Yes
No, keep all my books. I move them to my read file.
Yes

Depends if I like I keep if not delete
Have to or else I can’t download more
Yes.

Some I do delete, some I keep.
No
No
I remove it from the device, but it goes to the cloud. It’s not deleted.
Yes. You still have them in the area on Amazon where you manage your devices. I get confused when I have too many pages of books to read!
Yes but I keep it on my cloud.
Yes. Don’t like clutter.
Yes

I remove it from my device so I have room for more.
Yes
Archive, I never delete a book.
Yes, but they go to the cloud so you can read them again if you want. I have a huge library on my kindle. 😀
Yes due to room issues!
Yes, it’s still in the Amazon cloud, but not on my device.
Noooooo ?
No.
You don’t have to delete them. Just remove them from your device so you can read them again when you want to.
How do you do that? I removed one thinking I could get it back but nope it is gone
@Claire ok it worked! Thank you
@Annette how did you look in the cloud? From the website? Or from your device? On your iPad or Kindle, even on your computer, you should have two lists for your books: “on your device” and “in the cloud”. You can click on the search icon and type the title of your book.
No
No, and I wish the collections feature worked better. IE they all wouldn’t show up in main screen.
Once I put a book into a “collection” it no longer appears on my main screen…..
On my kindle (old version) I have separate folders/collections and put books into them the only thing that shows on main page is the folders and number of books in each
Yes, it is still in the cloud if I need to look back at it. Helps me keep track of what I have read or haven’t read yet.
No…….I made a “collection” for books I’ve read…..
I can refer to this list to recommend books to my friends and it also keeps track of how many books I’ve read……
I’ve made the same collection, and delete the books off my kindle as I read them
No
No
95% of the time yes every once and awhile I find a good book (usually self help) that I want to keep available or for some [complicated] series I keep the previous books in case I need to look back and then delete the whole series when I am done reading

Yes. I must make room for more books.
I delete from device but keep in my library
Same here.
no
Never have yet!
No so I can go back to see what I have read.
I try, but it doesn’t always work. I used to be able to archive books in my old kindle keyboard, but I don’t have the hang of it in the paperwhite.
Yes
Never
Nope! I’m a book hoarder lol!
Archive it
Only if it’s terrible.
Nope!
No
I archivr it
I do but I can still get it again from the cloud.
Same here. I delete from device and it gets stored in cloud.
No
Nope! ?
YES. That’s the only way I can keep track of what I’ve read and what I haven’t.
I do because it opens up space/room
Yes!
Same here…delete.
Never just archive…
No

No.
Yes, because it is always in my cloud for later reading.
