Don’t know what to read now. Too much choice. Does anyone take time between books or do you dive straight in to a new book?

Tend to go straight from one book to the next. I have definitely taken breaks after a particularly heavy read.
I go straight into the next book !!
I’ve always got another one waiting
Straight to the next, but like you I’ve got to much to chose from lol x
Dive right in, unless I have several going at the same time, sometimes I’ll finish the books I’m in the middle of before I start a fresh one.
Start another one straight away
Dive straight in. Don’t like to be without a book.
I’ve got a lot of tbr books on my Kobo. They will keep me going quite a while and I still keep buying new ones so I go straight on to the next one. ?
Dive straight in.
I dive straight into a new one
Always straight in. Sometimes change genre if the last book was intense/difficult.
Dive right in next one
Straight in.
Go into a new book straight away. I don’t always read every day though so if I finish a book straight away may mean the next night or day.
Depends on the book. Some of them stay with me after I read them and I take a couple of days off.
Straight in
Start another straight away, never stop reading
The only two that I needed time after were Captain correlli’s mandolin and Birdsong.
I’m still stuck in page 5 of From Hell. It’s a very special book for me wnd I don’t want to finish it off very fast
I’m an avid reader but sometimes I take a break for a week or two and I sometimes vary my reading outside of crime books just so I’m not reading one murder book after another.
Straight into the new book ?
Always right into the next xxx
I dive straight in but tend to go for a different author
It depends on the book I’ve just finished. Some books say in a series I’ll read the next one straight away as most of the characters are all in place and you can relate to that. I recently read a few psychological thrillers and I’ve had to take time to digest the story. So for me it depends upon the book.
Dive straight in. Can’t be without a book!
Straight into the next book x
Straight
Take time sometimes
Dive right in.
Depends. I spend time choosing but always keen to get into the next book.
Straight in to the difficult choice of which one next on my to read pile
Dive right in.
Depends on how affected I was by the reading experience!
If I finish a book whilst in bed I usually wait until morning before starting another ? I do switch genres sometimes though
Straight in to a new book!!
Straight in. Cant live without out a book.
Usually wait till next day before starting a new one
I dive straight into a new one on the same day!!!!!
Dive straight into the next book
I usually dive straight into the next book ? even if I don’t have chance to start it straight away, I’ll have one picked out ready ?
I dive straight in, but do at times turn to a different genre like fantasy in between.
Straight in but alternate genres to keep it fresh
I’ve been having same problem normally straight into next book but just can’t seem 2 b able 2 do it xx
Straight in
Depends on my mood really. If I finish a book at night, I wait until the next day and see what genre I fancy that day.
Immediately – always have books lined up! I’d feel lost if I didn’t have a book ready
Depends, I try to dive into new ones. But if the books is spectacular I feel like I just broke up with it. lol
Always a problem when you’re enjoying it and it ends it’s almost like a bereavement, this happened me recently with a book called
‘I Am Pilgrim’
The absolute worst, even though I am working on a trilogy, I didn’t want any of the books to end even though I have one more left. I don’t want to leave the world.
Out of interest what are you reading? I’ve just started a new series of books (Parish and Richards) by Tim Ellis only started them a few days ago and am already on my second book.
@Tony Maddaddam trilogy waiting to get the third book
I don’t always read series of book straight off ,l either rest or read another book in between
Never without a book. I can’t go even a few hours without a book in my hands
To add on and ask, am I the only one who carries a book around… Just to try to get over that “special book”. Even if you aren’t reading it you just have it with you all times incase you get that boost.
Me too
If I have a bad book hangover I go for a genre that is completely different. So if it was a crime book I go for a fluffy. If it was a fluffy I would pick up a horror. Xxx
That Like was I Think . .. smile .. .
Straight in, my TBR pile keeps growing I need to get it down
Straight in to the next one
I always have a book on the go and feel panicky when my tbr pile starts to go down
Does,
Does
Sometimes I’ll read a book in one day and start another one the next, then it will take me maybe a month to read that one. Depends on what is going on.
New book straight away. A sequel if possible x
Often have two or .ore kn the ho at the same time. Except when I am writing. Can’t read at all.
Wait two seconds whilst I get the next one off the shelf
