If I don’t plan on keeping the book then it doesn’t matter to me. Now books I plan on keeping that are by my fav authors, then new. But in the end it really doesn’t matter to me.
I just got a lot of books at Changing Hands, they sell used books that are good quality and for sooo cheap. They also have new books. So I don’t really mind either
My favorite is a $1 non-fiction book find in a thrift store that is well read with underlinings and marginalia; a well read book is worth it´s weight in gold.
Prefer books that has history in it but still in good condition. Makes me feel like I might have a connection to a wonderful bookworm from a different generation/era. Heehee
I like both, but there is something about a book which has been read and enjoyed by a lot of other people. Love it if I buy second hand books which have a personal message in them.
I don’t like ripped books but I’ll read used books and brand new books.
NEW
I feel too much energy from any used book it needs to be new for me
@Kat same!!!
Right-!!
I prefer books under $5, so more often then not, I buy used.
Doesn’t matter to me. A books a book!

A book is a book

New book smell is the best, but I usually get used books as they’re so much cheaper
Yes
I love them all with the exception of spills/stains or broken spines. If they’re old and taken care of, that’s wonderful because they have a history.
As long as all the pages are intact I don’t care. ?♀️
New! I’m OCD about cleanliness.
If I were rich I would buy new books. I do not mind old books as long as they do not smell bad.
Either , doesn’t matter to me .
Depends on the price!
Both!!! But the used ones can’t smell like smoke.
i like reading either new or used.

I get geeked when I find unbelievable deals on good titles at thrift shops or rummages. Used.

New
I wish I could get new books, but I can’t afford them.
I like lots of books so used works for me, although I feel a tad guilty that the author doesn’t get paid twice.
I prefer new, cause there’s nothing like that new book smell! ?

Worn! Then I don’t feel like I need to be so careful. Besides, wrinkles on books (and me!!!) mean love and a life well lived!!
I go back n forth. Right now I prefer new.

Brand new or a worn out book/hand down doesn’t matter…if you haven’t read it it’s still new to you

I buy mostly new books, but I don’t mind used ones as long as they’re clean.
New but if used books have a clean spine and are in good condition then I’m not against it.
Makes no difference to me. But I do love that new book smell! ??
Prefer brand new books to be honest
I perfer brand new .. Sometimes its really expensive so i have to settle for used
Prefer books that has history in it but still in good condition. Makes me feel like I might have a connection to a wonderful bookworm from a different generation/era. Heehee

Either. I buy a lot from ebay and our local cancer charity shop.
Doesn’t matter – bring on the books!
I prefer brand new books for current reads – but I
love and collect vintage books.
Just what’s inside. Beauty is in the eye….
