I don’t care as long as it’s not an old paperback that is so old that the glue is dried and the pages keep falling out. Although I will read them too lol
All of the above but there is something cool about holding a book and getting into a story that someone else has held and read and formed opinions about too.
Anything is good – as long as the binding is good, no missing pages & nothing sticky, icky or alive between pages. N i do hate it wen ppl deface books with pink markers.
Both! When I am on a tight budget, I usually just buy secondhand books. Hehe. Nevertheless, books are books. Doesnt matter if old or new, I still love ’em all! 😀
Both are same to me since if I took old book, I can buy more with same amount sort of saving. But we all want to read more so it is better to get more books in small amount and many times after keeping new books for few months finally they are going to look like old while old hard cover look many times look like new. ??
@Roxie has the same view as I do..both as long as the used ones are in good shape. I’m weird though. I don’t like to break the spines of my books especially the paperbacks.
Right now, I like Kindle. So, I guess its sort of used but new at the same time. The Stephen King book I’m reading was published 25 years ago, but this is the first ‘copy’ I own. 🙂
Both. I love finding writings and little pieces of paper inside used books. I love their smell as well. I love that they have their own little history. And I love new books because they are so beautiful and just waiting for their first chance to be read and loved by someone, who just so happens to be me. I just love books; can you tell? 🙂
Oh I admit I am a book snob. Definitely new! Not that I wouldn’t read an old book, and I absolutely love collecting them, but I just adore brand new books ❤️
I like finding used books, sometimes there are papers from the previous owners, notes, lists, ace of spades card, etc. makes it more interesting to know that someone else enjoyed the book.
Both: With a used but still intact and legible book: seeing that it got much love before I bought it warms my heart. With a new book: It feels nice and crisp in my hands, fresh ink smell, the cover nice and glossy
I like used books. Why pay full price $6-$20 for 1 book I can get 10 for $1 The more books I can buy, the more book reviews I can leave and that encourages more authors to write more, and they end up selling more books. Plus, I just can’t afford to buy brand new books all the time. I never pay more than a $1 for a book, and if I really want to read a book, I get it free from the library.
dosent matter i guess unless its a good book
I like books in good condition.I find many used books in very good conditipn
Any book it just has to be book ?
As long as it’s a book 🙂 plastic cover will always do
Both. As long as they’re cheap and in good condition.
Both are good. Old books are fascinating for their history and their window into the past.
I like used more for some reason, especially if it’s a book I fall in love with. Because it’s used, I know others probably enjoyed the story too. ?
I don’t care as long as it’s not an old paperback that is so old that the glue is dried and the pages keep falling out. Although I will read them too lol
Cheap ones
Books I want to read: old, new, kindle, hard cover, soft.

There is….something about old used books…
Any
Don’t matter
Doesn’t matter. As long as there’s no pages lost.
Used
Kindle. I like to read at night and I like to be able to turn the backlight on. So, I guess that’s new?
I usually buy used books. But I will buy a new one if I’m really into a series and it’s the next one or if the book looks extremely interesting
All of the above
All of the above but there is something cool about holding a book and getting into a story that someone else has held and read and formed opinions about too.
Whatever the library has is fine with me
I always bit second hand but only because the big difference in cost
It depends on the book.
All the answers.. hihi
Any, and all!!!!!!! ?
Anything is good – as long as the binding is good, no missing pages & nothing sticky, icky or alive between pages. N i do hate it wen ppl deface books with pink markers.

any book is a good book!!
I used to like both. But my fear of germs has caused me to prefer new. Ever opened a used book to find an unidentifiable substance inside? ?
New, I like the smell.
Both
All books I love and don’t think it matters if it’s new or used or ebook even.
I like them all…
Either
I’m indifferent- I’m all about the content. Used academic books ? are nice for the notes and highlights as good things to focus on.
Does not matter whether it is new or old…words should be legible..I do not care even if it has lost its cover or pages are a little torn..
Any book is good!
A book is a book is a book
All books are welcome.
Both and e books too
New
Both, but the used books have to be in good condition.
New. I love the smell.
Any of the above

Love old books, but will take them any way I can get them!
I’m a sucker for a new book.
And if in a nice hard cover.. or leather cover <3

Any book is good whether its old, or new.

Any book is good
I think a old book is just as good as a new one
it’s not the page the words are written on but the heart that hears their grace

I don’t discriminate
Depends.
Used books…recycle your reading 🙂
I prefer a book….period. 🙂
New books.
Recycle at library.
Any book! Used mostly because they are cheaper ?
Both
New books. Can’t stand to read a book that’s been used by someone else
Yes! 🙂
@Roxie has the same view as I do..both as long as the used ones are in good shape. I’m weird though. I don’t like to break the spines of my books especially the paperbacks.
as long as they are readable I dont care
Old or new 🙂

Old/used but new book smell
Doesn’t matter!

either. it is the writer’s ability to spin a good tale that interests me. Poor writing leads to irritation and/or boredome
Either
Lately, I’ve been finding like new books at thrift stores.
I just want all the books
both!! <3?❤?
Both
Both.
Old/used books!
both
Cheap, used books in excellent condition
Whichever still has all the pages. I really just prefer a phycial book than electronic
new book
Both
depends. I love going to second-hand bookstores. But I’m also a sucker for Barnes&Noble coupons….. And I haunt library sales.
I take them all
Oh I admit I am a book snob. Definitely new! Not that I wouldn’t read an old book, and I absolutely love collecting them, but I just adore brand new books ❤️
I prefer used as long as it’s in good condition; new books often have an odor I dislike
I like finding used books, sometimes there are papers from the previous owners, notes, lists, ace of spades card, etc. makes it more interesting to know that someone else enjoyed the book.
Both ♡

Any! ????
new
A book is a book. Old, new, paperback, hardcover, ebook. I love them all
audio?
@Gina Some. Although, I prefer to create the feel of a character’s voice on my own, for the most part.
Yes.
New is my way! I LOVE and CRAVE that new book smell! And there’s no ripped pages and ruined binding. I like it that way ?
As long as it’s a physical book! ? I’m happy. ?
not bothered as long as it has a good story and it is in good condition.
Both
Anything I can get my hands on as long as the old/used books are clean”. I’ve passed up some great books because the covers or pages are filthy.
Since I see you’re in Ohio. Be careful to check in the creases of any second hand books. I got some with bedbugs in them!
Both.
Either one?
I like used books. Why pay full price $6-$20 for 1 book I can get 10 for $1 The more books I can buy, the more book reviews I can leave and that encourages more authors to write more, and they end up selling more books. I prefer new condition, but I love old books, too.
Usually used, but new ones like Harry Potter series.
I have a slight preference for new books. I love that new book smell and the feeling of unused pages.
Either really – I like used books for classics and really like it if there are names/notes etc scribbled on the flyleaf..
I love a new book, but if the book is really good a shabby, worn-down fiction or non-fiction will suit me.
