@Lloyd That Follett book is part of a trilogy. “Pillars of the Earth” is first, then “World Without End,” and finally “Column of Fire.” Should keep you busy for a month or so.
I wasn’t thinking about the Bible to answer the question. I read through three different versions including the eth Cepher by Cepher Publishing that has all the apocrypha and several extra-biblical books including Enoch, Jasher and Jubilees and a few other smaller ones. I’m retired and had plenty of time to read so from Jan 1, 2016 to May something 2018 I read the Bible through three times. The one with all the extra canonical books has to be one of the biggest books I’ve ever read with over 1400 pages. Thank you for reminding me to include the Bible in the books I’ve read. Blessings.
Offhand unsure. Read more than a couple that exceeded 1,500 pages… however… ?♀️?♀️?♀️ who cares? Read for the sake of reading, not for the sake of “reading a bigger book” or boosting your “total count”.
@Lloyd my native language is Portuguese and I bought the all in one IN English. So was reading and translating at the same time. It was really hard! Ha. Bit it’s definitely in my list to one day… be finished. Did you read it?
@Caroline reading and translating… wow! That’s a lot of work. Well, yes I have read it long time ago and it was sooooo awesome!! From LOTR to The Hobbit series. Love them. You should finish them someday.. it’s all worth it. ?
This one is over 500 pages..(I think) It’s by a local author where I’m from. The entire series is very good. I read this in a day. I’ve only done that twice. So, for me it was good.
Longest may be a better descriptor of sorts (rather than thick, which can vary depending on the size of the paper and font). Semantics! That typed, possibly the unabridged version of The Stand.
Duma Key by Stephen King
@Carissa of course Stephen King. ?
The Way of Kings by B. Sanderson

@Lloyd That Follett book is part of a trilogy. “Pillars of the Earth” is first, then “World Without End,” and finally “Column of Fire.” Should keep you busy for a month or so.

I’m not a Christian but that’s quite impressive.
I grew up Catholic so I have read some of it, but never met anyone that’s actually read the whole thing.
It is worth reading the whole thing. History, adventure, love, failure, redemption… everything you could want in a book is contained in the Bible.
Yes it’s a wonderful little fantasy novel??
Shogun about 1200 pages
War and peace for real
George R.R. Martin’s A Dance With Dragons.
The Stand(unexpurgated version) by Stephen King – 1200 pages

@Rebecca was that good? I keep eyeing it in the bookstore.
I really loved it but it might not appeal to everyone. It’s part crime/thriller, part romance and part magic realism. Its weird and wonderful haha
Nice! I like weird. ?
War and Peace. Yes, I actually made myself get through the whole thing. Not worth the effort.
Offhand unsure. Read more than a couple that exceeded 1,500 pages… however… ?♀️?♀️?♀️ who cares? Read for the sake of reading, not for the sake of “reading a bigger book” or boosting your “total count”.
@Angelina uhh no one cares, just a curious little one here
@Lloyd hence why I answered but still threw my view along WITH ?♀️
@Lloyd I get the curiosity aspect, I just feel the joy of reading itself should be the goal. Not the book size. ??
@Angelina I know right.. ?
