Work on different projects. Stuck on one, go to another. Try something completely different. Poetry, perhaps. Or a screenplay. Or a play. Take courses.
Research today is completely different than years ago. Everything can be googled now. Sometimes though, even the best of research can let you down. Happened me recently with Sorting out Charlie, a YA I penned, and it took an Indian native to point out my mistake.
What kind of information that you usually take when you research? I’m so sorry to ask you a lot since I really like to do some discussion with an author hahaha ?
You should read Game of Life series by @Belle. There’s definately a psycho in there. Books 3-5 release within the next month. They are novella type sized books but the author packs a lot into those pages
Dark Angel by David Klass. And the Christopher Creed duology by Carol Plum-Ucci is good. I can’t remember exactly if there is a psycho character in the firsr one but they’re definitely suspenseful reads.
Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris. The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena. Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. He Will Be My Ruin by K.A. Tucker. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson. The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. The Caller by Chris Carter. In The Blood by Lisa Unger. Suicide Notes From Beautiful Girls by Lynn Weingarten. Mercy Redeemed by Kimm Reid.
Gone Girl is the reason why I will never cheat or play with a woman’s feelings. Women can go psycho if not properly tried. Their feels are gold and playing with them is a death wish. I love Gone Girl.
