Sherrilyn Kenyon, Dark Hunter Series/League Series. There is lots of action involved in her books which make the story that much more thrilling to read.
I don’t care for romances, but I love a good love story. Ones I’ve liked include A Town Like Alice and I Capture the Castle. The Farr Pavilions is also good but is very long.

You’re the only person in my life who has mentioned The Far Pavilions, read that when I was really young!
Me either, but I thought I would read something different for a change. I mostly read historical fiction and mystery.
The closest to romance I have read is Barbara Delinsky and I really don’t consider her in the romance genre.
If you like contemporary, The Hating Game by Sally Thorne.
I adored this book and I am NOT a romance reader!
it became an instant favorite!
I started it and couldn’t get past her smurf collection ?
I have enjoyed every Kylie Scott book I have read. Vicious by Lj Shen is pretty good.
I read Georgette Heyer’s books. Her novels are witty and have substance. They are set in the Regency Period in England, so they are historical, also.
Mary Balogh
Nora Roberts
Francine Rivers—-Redeeming Love
Debbie Macomber, Susan Mallory
Judith McNaught
Susan Mallery is really good.
Always to Remember by Lorraine Heath or for something lighter the Bridgerton-series by Julia Quinn. Both are historical.
