I second julia Quinn. Love Jill Shalvis’s Animal Magnatism series. If you like historical Mary Balogh is my fav. Virgia Henley is really good but a bit history deep at times. My favorite of hers is a year and a day. I also love the Mallory series from Johanna Lindsey. I am about 50/50 on Eloisa James. She has some true gems (Beauty and Beast retelling was one of those) but about half of her stuff is meh.
For historical romances, some authors I like are Julie Anne Long Pennyroyal Green series, Sarah MacLean, Tessa Dare, Mary Balogh, Sabrina York, Elizabeth Hoyt. For vampire romances I like the black dagger brotherhood series (the only vampire books I’ve read)…..
My absolute favorite historical romance – The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie by Jennifer Ashley. Different than any other historical romance ever written. Contemporary Romance – Beautiful Bastard by Christina Laurens
Johanna Lindsey is definitely a romance staple. Iris Johansen’s Wind Dancer series is great. And, if you really want to get invested in the characters, I highly recommend Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series.
Marina Adair, Jill shalvis, or Susan mallery
Lisa Kleypas or Julia Quinn
I like paranormal romance and recommend reading the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole

I also like Faith Hunter, although it’s pure romance

Yes the Outlander series are amazing.
The Time-Traveler’s Wife. (Don’t see the movie, though—it sucked.)
These are older books but check out LaVyrle Spencer’s books.
The Callaway Series by Barbara Freethy
The Hawk and the Jewel by Lori Wick
Hush hush saga by Becca Fitzpatrick
The D.I.M.I.L.Y trilogy by Estelle maskame
Alisha Rai’s Forbidden Hearts trilogy!!!!!!!! Also anything by Tessa Dare, Lisa Kleypas, or Sarah MacLean
Anything Marianna Zapata or Penny Reid
I wouldn’t call myself a romance junkie. I actually got burnt out on this author’s romance books. But Nora Roberts is pretty good.
Kasie West, and The Rarest Rose by H. A. Robinson
Thanks everyone!! 🙂
