Biographies tend to be more objective, which I prefer. It’s a generalization but I think there’s a degree of narcissism in autobiography that rubs me the wrong way.
I like memoirs about my fave celebrities and about topics which I’m going through/have gone through. I like a wacky memoir to “clear my palate” after a heavy, serious read.
