I loved the book. There’s a picture of true evil in it. Great story well told.
So good – a page turner ✨
Did not like the movie. Hopefully the book is better
I liked the movie but the prose is so beautifully written in the book that a movie could never do it justice.
Read it years ago and loved it
Book is way better than the movie.
It’s on my TBR shelf.
I like it.
I read it years ago but I remember loving every minute! I think it’s a fast read if I recall – too good to put down!
I will go along with Meaghan’s assessment; it was years ago too for me that I read it. It was made into a movie, I think, with Michelle Pfeiffer, but I was disappointed in the movie compared to the book.
I read it a long time ago. I remember really liking it, but I’ll have to read a summery of it to refresh my memory.
Yes, liked it . Should remember to put it on my favorites list.

Hated it. The only book I’ve ever thrown at a wall.

Thought it dark.
Deborah, there was a scene involving child abuse that I just couldn’t bear. Book, meet wall. I was in tears.
I listened on audible…wonder if I had the effect as I would had I read it?

Very well written.
Great book. But a lit harsh. It speaks to u and sometimes difficult to continue but it’s a really good book.
It was sad but stuck with me all these years.
It was one of the first heavier contemporary novels I read in high school. It was considered adult so I felt like I was getting away with something. 😂 my parents were pretty open, I could read what I wanted. Anyway, I loved it and have reread it often.
I have your book.
Really good. It will keep your interest.
