Has anyone read Lilac Girls? Thoughts…
I enjoyed it!!
Great book. I love historical fiction. Very enlightening. Enjoy.
Disturbing but a great educational read.
@Connie Why disturbing?
@Jo What they went through at the camp was disturbing to me. Knowing this happened was disturbing to me.
@Jo It would be a spoiler to say why, but I am always disturbed when I read about the evil and prejudice that happened during WWII. The book is well worth the read and very educational.

Loved it. Hooked me on page 1.
It was one of those books that I was glad I read it….hated what I learned from it. So i had mixed emotions about it myself….but it is a great book about that unfortunate historical time.

Fabulous book! It is well written.
True story and so heartbreaking. This book stayed with me a long time.
Can’t get into it. Tried a few times. Will persevere!!!
@Heidi same here. Tried 3 times
I would have enjoyed it more if I would have realized it was based on true stories before reading it. Not knowing that while reading, I found it to be just okay
It is well-written. I read only for entertainment. Too disturbing for me, but excellent work!
@Jenny well worth reading
I absolutely loved it! I could not put it down!
I have and it was an excellent read, though disturbing to read in parts. Makes you think about what people went through in WWII
I loved it! It is well written, very sad story but a good book overall!
Good book. Try Jackdaw by Ken Follett. Fast read and compelling.
Loved loved loved Jackdaw. If you can listen to it on audio great book
On my short list but a prequel has just been published so I’m reading that one first – called Lost Roses, I think.
@Phyllis~I just ordered both from Amazon!?
It is absolutely one of my favorite books. The prequel to it: Lost Roses, is equally as captivating. Martha Hall Kelly is writing another prequel.(Gin Lane)
