@Aggie Iโm lucky if I can get a couple of pages in at a time. Literally takes me months to finish a book. But to be honest, I donโt want to stay up late reading anyway. 6am comes too soon every morning.
Allegra Murray same here. It takes me forever to read through a book. So I also listen to audible and those books I could get through faster, because I could listen while doing housework, driving, cooking etc. but I also love reading a hard copy of another book at the same time.
I read a lot on my Kindle when the kids are watching TV or in bed. And I listen to audio books on my commute, when I’m doing laundry/cleaning, etc. I’ve managed to exceed my goal of 52 books this year by squeezing in a page or two when I can. ๐
I have a busy teething 11 month old, whose tryin to walk. I cant get no reading done around him lol. He comes up n pulls on the pages, chews on my book n watnot. I resorted to audiobooks?
Yup I do audiobooks too and I can get through books pretty quick since I listen while cooking, driving and doing housework. But I like to read a hard copy of another book too!
By the end of the day I’m exhausted and when the kids are asleep I stand and contemplate whether I should sleep or read..hmm sleep or read.. most of the time I read a few pages and fall asleep.
I usually read an actual book with an audiobook. I have lists of books in my Library audio-listen app. If all the house stuff is done I read during nap. But if I have a lot to do… just put my head phones on and I work while I listen…
When the kids have gone to sleep, when you are cooking, first time in the morning, at pick up line at school, any second you have make sure to have a book with you. Good luck.
It is such a struggle! I listen to audiobooks on the drive to and from work. I try to read on my lunch break and a few minutes before bed. I’m usually so exhausted at the end of the day it’s difficult to concentrate.
In the car when hubbyโs driving, when Iโm waiting in the car, sitting next to the bath while my daughterโs playing in the water, on Kindle when itโs lights our for everybody? (keep a book and/or Kindle in my handbag permanently for any reading opportunity)
Don’t watch TV, read Y.A. books aloud to my kid, Audio books, lunch break, after kids are in bed. Also read reviews to see if it’s something ill actually make the time to read it. I stop after 10 or so chapters if I can’t get into it, and move on to something I can.
My reading is done on busses and in lines and on breaks and at home whenever I get a free moment . I work nights so sometime just before bed in the morning too
I donโt watch tv. I usually keep my kindle around everywhere I go so I read whenever I get a chance. I also listen to audiobooks on my commute to work and while I exercise. On my days off, I wake up early to read for an hour or so while the kids sleep. Itโs the best <3 good coffee, a cozy chair, and quiet reading time. Totally worth waking up early for.
My e reader is with me all the time! I am a full time working Mama with 2 little boys. I read on my lunch break, I read will I breastfeed my 15 month old morning and night. Then I read for a few hours after the kids go to bed. I don’t watch any TV. Reading is my down time. When kids are asleep I do nothing but curl on the couch with wine and a book lol
I”ve always done most of my reading in the evenings. When they were little, I’d get them to bed around 8:30 and then it was me time. I’d settle in for the night and read until my own bed time. I’ve never been much of a T.V. watcher so that definitely helps. I also read during lunch breaks when I didn’t have errands to run. Audio books are a good way to get books in as well.
My kids are teens so don’t go to bed until after 9pm, and before that I am usually busy spending time with them, cleaning up after dinner, or getting ready for the next day so I don’t actually get into bed until 9:30 or 10pm. I wake up at 5am, so I am asleep within a few minutes. I am envious of you who say you read at night after the kids go to bed!
I listen to an audiobook on my drive to and from work…I read a different book at work on breaks and lunch…and I read for 45 minutes in bed every night…
Before bed… when my kids are playing with friends… at their sporting practice… i will read even if i have 10 minutes to spare. I always have my book on me. I donโt watch TV so that helps
@Amanda i loved them. Made my ride so much pleasurable. Didn’t want to get to work that fast lol. Or worry about traffic. Stress free. And sometimes when i got home I’d wait till the chapter finished ?
I always read after the kids went to bed.
Literally, this is the reason I own a kindle. ? 10pm, in bed, until I fall asleep.
How much time are you able to get in? I always fall asleep!

I read when my baby drinks – I breastfeed. I only work half-days.
So you have the book in one hand and the baby in the other? Kudos to you!!
@Aggie I have a Kindle. And baby on the doughnut feeding pillow.?
Late at night when kids are asleep…

In bed

Yes I also do audiobooks! Can finish a book much faster.
I use the kindle app on my phone & usually read in bed after she goes to sleep. And whenever else I can find time
I don’t have a job but I am so busy every day that I listen to audiobooks while I tidy up the house & when I go for a jog or drive.
Yup I do audiobooks too and I can get through books pretty quick since I listen while cooking, driving and doing housework. But I like to read a hard copy of another book too!
When the kids have gone to sleep
By the end of the day I’m exhausted and when the kids are asleep I stand and contemplate whether I should sleep or read..hmm sleep or read.. most of the time I read a few pages and fall asleep.
I just started reading chapter books to my kids at bedtime & I’ll even read my own aloud because my voice lulls them to sleep.
Morning I wake up hour early and during
Lunch at work
In bed after the kids go to sleep
Early in the morning before my kids get up, or when they are watching their kiddie shows. In the parent pick up line at school, and late at night.
At night in bed. Or after work instead of watching tv. Everyone else watches tv and I read.
I usually read an actual book with an audiobook. I have lists of books in my Library audio-listen app. If all the house stuff is done I read during nap. But if I have a lot to do… just put my head phones on and I work while I listen…
Usually when everyone is asleep… Best time to read
I used to get to their school an hour before they were dismissed just so I could read in the car!
I read on my lunch break, after my kids go to sleep and during their practices (ballet, karate, soccer)
When the kids have gone to sleep, when you are cooking, first time in the morning, at pick up line at school, any second you have make sure to have a book with you. Good luck.

I read a work. We tend to have a lot of down time
No t.v.
I don’t have time for TV either. I most definitely would prefer to read!
In the car when hubbyโs driving, when Iโm waiting in the car, sitting next to the bath while my daughterโs playing in the water, on Kindle when itโs lights our for everybody? (keep a book and/or Kindle in my handbag permanently for any reading opportunity)
Lunch breaks. When kids movies are on. Audiobooks during commutes
At night before bed. Early weekend mornings when the kids are still sleeping and instead of watching tv
After babies are asleep! Also, on my phone kindle app when Iโm giving one a bottle and theyโre drifting off
Very little TV and I read before bed, usually fall asleep while reading.
To and from work. I read on my phone. Half hour before bed every night and any time I get when the kids are all out doing their own thing
Don’t watch TV, read Y.A. books aloud to my kid, Audio books, lunch break, after kids are in bed. Also read reviews to see if it’s something ill actually make the time to read it. I stop after 10 or so chapters if I can’t get into it, and move on to something I can.

Work breaks and after kids are in bed
Night time for me when kids are asleep
Usually at night, to and from work. But I always have ebook in my bag)
Me too. The end of the dayโs reward even if only for a few chapters ?

Early morning.
Before work, sometimes during lunch at work, and after work to unwind
Early morning, before bed.
I read for a half hour after work, waiting for my hubby to get off. Then I’ll read for maybe an hour at 8pm when my son is in bed.
My kids are teens so don’t go to bed until after 9pm, and before that I am usually busy spending time with them, cleaning up after dinner, or getting ready for the next day so I don’t actually get into bed until 9:30 or 10pm. On my commute to and from work either while on the bus or walking.
while i eat, while at the comfort room, while waiting for my ride, while im on a vehicle, while im waiting for something
Audio books on the commute to and from work
@Eliana Great idea!
@Amanda i loved them. Made my ride so much pleasurable. Didn’t want to get to work that fast lol. Or worry about traffic. Stress free.
And sometimes when i got home I’d wait till the chapter finished ?
@Eliana my drive to and from work/pickups is only about 10 minutes but I listen to my audiobook anyway, ha ha.
@Aggie well 10 min is 10 blissful minutes. My drive was 30 min each way.
Before bed. My boyfriend has to go to bed really early because he has to get up really early so I read for about 3 hours before I can finally lay down
I read on my breaks at work and I take time in the evening to read
Bedtime and any time having to be stuck in a waiting room.
I audiobook it while I drive, do laundry, cook, clean, etc
When I was working, I would read on my lunch break in my van.
Either early in the morning or late in the evening !! Nap times when they rarely occur
I like to listen to books on Audible on my commute back and forth to work.
IN the bathroom, in the tub, waiting at the Drs , every free moment that I’m waiting for something or someone
