I have a few. I adore DI Harry Evan’s from @Graham‘s books. He is the type of person you love to hate. An asshole with a heart. I also love Lorne Simpkins from @Mel‘s Justice series…because she simply rocks! I also love Kim Stone from @Angie‘ books. Tough, independent, hard ass with a heart. I could name loads more for various reasons….and I might…later…lol!! ??
@Graham yeah…that is what I meant! Only had 2.5 hours sleep last night…brain does not always spew the thoughts out in the correct word formations at this time…. And if there is something wrong with the above….well, too bad…I am tired! ??
John Rebus is definitely my favourite – I love all Ian Rankin’s books, but the Rebus ones are my favourites because of his flawed but likeable personality
Hard to pick just one favourite as I have a few for different reasons. Damen Brook by Steven Dunne Tom Calladine and Ruth Bayliss by @Helen Robert Hunter by Chris Carter
I like DI Jack (Jane) Austin in my books – he is the only protagonist detective I know who has never solved a crime in his life…(to find out you have to read the books, I could tell yer but I’ have to kill yer)

Thank you lovely lady XXX
I should be thanking YOU @Angie! Love Kim Stone…?
Thank you, sweetie. Xx
And again @Mel…thank you! I want to BE Lorne! ??
But I’m Lorne. Lol xx
Many thanks for the mention, @Noelle, but Harry Evans prefers to think he’s the kind of guy you hate to love.
@Mel Then I want to be you!!!

Kim Stone from @Angie series and Lorne Simpkins from @Mel‘s series, also Jake from @David‘s TP but not for his detective work ??

Sherlock Holmes for me – love how he’s an antisocial ass but gets his head in the game to solve the crimes. ?
John Rebus is definitely my favourite – I love all Ian Rankin’s books, but the Rebus ones are my favourites because of his flawed but likeable personality
I also love #McBain from @Michael‘s books…he gets under your skin. And another fave is #Cooper from @Paul‘s book But For The Grace of God…superb!!
Lucas Davenport, as he’s actually worse than the people he hunts!
Wallander – he is a real person
Hard to pick just one favourite as I have a few for different reasons.
Damen Brook by Steven Dunne
Tom Calladine and Ruth Bayliss by @Helen
Robert Hunter by Chris Carter

@Jake‘s Sam Tay, Kati Hiekkapelto’s Anna Fekete both battling society with their investigations.
Michael Connelly’s, Harry Bosch, although I will agree with Alex, Sam Tay is one of my favourites too.
I like DI Jack (Jane) Austin in my books – he is the only protagonist detective I know who has never solved a crime in his life…(to find out you have to read the books, I could tell yer but I’ have to kill yer)
DS Lasser from @Robin‘s crime series.
And I bet Jefferson Winter comes a close second!
