Where does everyone sell their books they no longer want?Where does everyone sell their books they no longer want? December #get the book
I give them to the library
If you can, donate them to your local hospital or care home.
I’m getting ready to take a tub full to the library
I donate mine to Goodwill. You never get a lot of money and I would rather someone be able to buy them for cheap.
http://paperbackswap.com/ . I swap them for new ones.
Love this site.
I give them to my library’s book store, or my local thrift shop. ?
I keep all my books unless I really don’t like them then I’ll give them to a friend.
There’s no place to sale them, too. So I give them away at work and to nursing homes.
I “trade” them in local buy/sell groups for anything I’ve never read.
I donate mine or give them to people.
I trade them for book credit at a used bookstore, send them to my aunt, or donate them.
Oh wait!!!! Ur idea ? is better….
Donate them to charity or I give them to friends
I either donate them to thrift stores or the library or sell them to people I know will take good care of them
I donate the ones I don’t keep to either the library or an animal shelter for their sales, or I get credit at a local used book store, or I give some to people I know.
My local Books-a-Million just started doing that a few months ago. So that’s where I go.
Good one. Need to do this too here.
I actually donate them to hospital that I work for them to sell.
Sell my books??!!?
I donate them to my public library after sharing with friends.
I sell to Half Priced books. That’s where most of them came fromy anyway.
There are local 2nd hand shops that will purchase your books. Caution: What you consider valuable is not to others! They may not want all of your collection. And they will offer you considerably less that what you are asking. The market is very different today. Sometimes you will be donating them to a local library or non-profit. Times have changed.
I sell them on the local buy ,sell and trades for 5 dollars a box . I sell the first editions for a couple dollars each and the signed ones for 5 dollars each. The books that date back to the 20’s and 30’s I ask a bit more for them.
What is “sell”? *squints*
Donate to library
Better World Books
I put them in a box and at the end of the year I turn the. In for credit at my used bookstore
I either trade them in for credit at a used bookstore, or if the bookstore won’t take them, I donate them to the thrift store.
Who would sell their book?
To the local nursing homes.
I go to Half Price Books
I gift it. When I don’t like a book, I tend to think of someone who might like it better. Resale values are never worthwhile and I’d rather turn it into a thoughtful gift.
Iv always donated mine
second-hand book libraries …
Half-Price Books or my local paperback exchange.
Second-hand shops. Even I give books I want no more to some friends that are interested on them.
Usually I separate them between my bff, partner, and Roomate depending on the genre and how many there are
My local book store
Half Price Books
They give them to me ???
Half Price Books, 2nd and Charles.
I have a buy swap sell page for books in Australia
I don’t sell them. I donate them or send them to friends and family.
Used to store them and sell when we have a garage sale. Now we donate them to charities or hospitals.
Donate to the veterans
It really depends. If a book just screams the name of a certain person I know, that’s always my first choice. I’m basically a library for my friends anyway (I actually have a sign out sheet on my bookshelf and my friends know certain shelves are off limits for borrowing). I’m actually pretty happy with my current system but if I were going to get rid of books, I’d probably try to find a library in a low income area and just donate them for people with less access. I donate children’s books to our local school libraries when my kids age out of them.
Donate to Goodwill
I donate them
I give them away to good friends. The loved ones need to be sent to caring homes!
I swap them at a local used book store. Even if they don’t want to trade a certain book, they offer to take it to the library and donate. My goal is to cut down on my huge pile so that works well for me.
Bookstore. That way I get store credit so I can buy more lol
Donate to charity…
I donate them to charity, never burn or chuck books away, no matter how bad they may be. Those two things are a horrific crime against literature and the written word.
I book swap or donate them
I take mine to the charity shop 🙂
I donate them to local hospitals to volunteers who read to sick people
I donate to our local library used book sale.
I give them to friends or donate ?
Some independent used book stores do. I just bought a book from one of them, and she told me she would buy it back when I’m done. Usually the owners or these stores are very savvy on their knowledge of authors and books.
I still buy ? but only if it’s on sale under $5….recently bought Lauren Weisberger’s ? on ‘The Single’s Game.’
~still on it.
I’ve never had that come up.
You can donate some in senior homes or long stay in hosptal, as we all know. Tv rentals cost way too much
