@Lisa one of my favorite books is Saints and Villains, a fictional account of Bonhoeffer’s (and his monastery’s) participation in the Nazi Resistance. It’s fantastic.
Robert Skidelsky’s biographies of Oswald Mosley and John Maynard Keynes and Robert Caro’s ongoing multi-volume biography of LBJ. For the best autobiography, I’d nominate Martin Amis’ ‘Experience’.

Waylon Jennings Autobiography and then Listen to the Man himself read his autobiography to you..Waylon Jennings story is honest more honest than anyone I’ve ever read..besides his voice was made for story telling…even if you don’t like country music I promise anyone who believes in freedom to be who you are will Love this book…
