Educated, definitely! Also, I have a question (and yes, there is such a thing as a dumb question): is an autobiography and a memoir the same thing? Anyone? ??
Walking with the Wind by John Lewis…it’s an AMAZING story/account of the civil rights movement. It’s heartbreaking and uplifting all at once. It’s AMAZING ❤️
Not sure what you’re into but I loved Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and I’m currently reading Carrie Fisher’s The Princess Diarist and it’s really good
OMG, Harpo Marx (“the kindest man in Hollywood) I can’t believe someone else thinks Harpo Speaks is the best autobiography. Right up there with David Niven’s The Moon’s a Balloon.
This is an odd in, but autobiography of fukuzawa yukichi. He was a teacher and activist in the late 1800s in Japan, and founded a school that is now one of Japan’s ivy league universities. I read it in school, and really enjoyed it.
My Year with Eleanor (Hancock), Blood Bones and Butter (Hamilton), Educated (Westover)

? Now you got me thinking maybe you should start a new thread with that question? Good one!
The only point of difference I can imagine is maybe an autobiography is the entire life while a memoir is more partitioned, if that makes sense?
Yes, that what I believe, a memoir is about certain years and an autobiography is about a whole long life.
Makes sense! Thanks! ??
An autobiography is the story of someone’s whole life. A memoir usually only deals with a specific part of it.
Thanks!
