@Bella I do agree with Nesta, for me it was actually elain! I felt like she was just so fragile and wallowing in her own pity . Just feeling sorry for herself because her man didn’t want her . @Bella it’s funny because I loved the series. Read it easily ten times. Now that I’m older I keep thinking…would I have been ok with the hot guy in school watching me sleep? Taking apart my car and kidnapping me to keep me from seeing my friends? No. Definitely 100% no.
A co-teacher and I have read it now as adults and we have the same thoughts.

@Danielle I did at first until I did a reread or two. I will say that I liked her progression over the series. She definitely grew up a lot.
Feyre then entire acotar series. Hated her as a character. Only really stuck with it for the supporting characters. She was annoying to the max. Wanted to smack her 99.9% of the time.

She seems so…bland. I liked a few parts when she finally showed some emotion (the trials, her being kept UTM, and her going through PTSD afterward). Otherwise, she was just very…meh. I stuck with it because of the other characters.
@Angelee I think that was part of it. How Sarah did Aelin’s ptsd was so amazing. It was far more accurate, imo. While I found Feyre’s… idk… especially in ACOWAR. But as a whole she just irked me. She had an opportunity to be such an incredible character but fell so god damn short.
Octavian from Heroes of Olympus. He was, in my opinion, a jacka$$ who needed to be strapped to an ancient Roman catapult and flung as far as away as possible.

Alina? Aelina?… Adelina! I hated her the first book, but afterward, she got better. I actually DNFed the first book because she was just so jarring and bitch-slap worthy.

Mal did not deserve Alina. He didn’t accept her when she had her powers. To me, he was threatened by them and had some major insecurity problems. Once she lost her powers, then he was all over her. I loved the Darkling because he encouraged her to not be ashamed, to be strong, and to fight for herself. He wanted to help her better herself.

I finished the whole series. Of VA I found her to be arrogant and annoying she either only cared about Lissa which was a unhealthy relationship. Or she only cared about herself and she used who ever she wanted and didn’t care who she hurt in the process.

Oh yes…. The movie…… I did…. And I cried like a baby because I found it so horrible ? It was one of my favorite series at the time and damn I was so disappointed! But I think you should really give the rest of the books a shot, also, bloodlines is the spinoff series and if you feel like you start loving the rest of the characters I really recommend reading these afterwards 😀
@Marissa, she is a bit arrogant yes, But I think I like that in characters as I adore the main character from TOG as well ? The relationship between her and Lissa was indeed unhealthy but what did you expect with the situation they were in? I do agree about the using part, especially Adrian. But I like how she developed through the series do not everything was resolved the way I hoped it would, at least not by Rose her hand. For which I’m grateful Bloodlines came out 😀
@Danielle I like Bloodlines I love Adrian. And in book 3 I think it is I had such hope for her that she might change but then book 4 and she was the same rose I liked lissa actually she realizes rose is her friend and not her employee/ protector

Those characters that was so stubborn; when someone told them to listen and don’t do anything stupid and they did it anyway and refused to listen to all the warnings and later on complained how they nearly died because of their own stupidity. And also those characters that loves making rash and dumb decisions without thinking of the consequences.
