I’ll stay away from certain authors. I am also not the biggest fan of crime novels, road trip or travel novels, and paranormal romance is a genre I don’t read much anymore.
I used to really like it in high school/early college. But I haven’t had the urge to read it in years! I feel like I may have burnt out my interest in dystopian books too. I read so many in a short amount of time
I’m not a big romance reader either, even if when I was a kid, I wasn’t a fan of fairy tales, I was more a “I’ll do it myself” kind of kid, get out a tower? I’ll sort this?
I know it’s silly, but the cover really makes a difference for me. If the cover art looks cheaply done, I automatically assume the contents will be the same.
I read a lot of stuff, but there are some genres I just avoid. I don’t like Fantasy much at all. I don’t mind working a bit to understand a story, but when writers purposefully make their stories ridiculously difficult I put them down.
For me, romance. I won’t even pick it up lol
No hot and heavy novels for Paula, noted ?
Urban fantasy. Hate that stuff.
Yep, can’t stand romance either. That and other ‘chick lit’

I don’t care for paranormal romance either

As far as dystopian goes I can take it or leave it
No romance for me.

If it looks like romance or lipstick lit.
I’m not really into a romance novel but I like suspense stories with characters that have a romantic storyline.
Pass by a book?! What is that?! I read everything lol
No romance or super chick lit

Cover Art. Romance. Science Fiction.
Biography, they are at times scarier then horror books, 🙂

Most science fiction for me as well
