I just go with how I feel. If I need a quick read I pick something short. If I’m in a “need to read” mood I’ll get a big book. If I just read a fantasy I’ll do a realistic one. I try & mix it up.
I try to look for books in the same genre as what I was reading before. Sometimes the same author. But if its a choice of choosing a book from a pile you already have I suggest choosing the one you wouldnt read straight away
I deeply ponder, and think extensively upon exactly the kind of story I’m in the mood for—and focus on reading only that, without thinking of any other book! (Browsing through my Amazon wishlist usually helps?, also if it’s a series I can binge read, all the better!)
I am having that problem right now – just lost 🙁
What books are you trying to chose from?
I put all the titles on a piece of paper then cut it up ans put it in a jar. When I don’t know what to read next I choose from the jar.
Wander around the book store lost. cry. Freak out. Lay down and stare at the ceiling. Mostly in that order…in the store. LOL
Close my eyes and pick one at random
I normally pick ones that sound interesting and have my fiance pick one for me
I do that too when I just can’t narrow it down to one
I can’t either
I have a friend that always recommends a winner. That or the Goodreads app

I survey the internet for good books.
Not really I have a whole TBR shelf.
I never get stuck. Too many books, too little time!
I stare at the books that i have and go through a quick pro/con list on each book and then i decide.
I pick about 6 or 7 off my tbr shelves and read the first chapter of each one – the one I really want to carry on with – that’s the one I read ?
browse goodreads or other places for ideas
Ask yourself how do I feel and go from there. It helps to have a digital library to pick from.
I start reading several books, and the one that catch me more is the chosen one. ?
Go to the library
Look through my “stacks”, govto Library and browse new release shelf or randomly wander around
the shelves and see what hits me!
Almost never happens. It’s the opposite problem—choosing among all the things on my list.
Go to the book store lol
