What do you consider to be a “long” book. And what is the longest book you have read or own?

800+ pages. The longest book I’ve read Breaking Dawn which is over 700 pages lol
500+ pages.
I believe one of the Harry Potter’s was close to 1,000? Or was it… I can’t remember
Phoenix is super close
@Meegy I thought so
The longest I read was 1000+ but can’t remember which it was…oops
I count 700~800+ pages as “long”
Anything over 600 pages for me. Inheritance series, I considered all long books, 600 yo almost 900 pages. If Kingdom of Ash is really around 1000 pages, that will be the longest book I will/have read. <3
The copy I read of IT was about 1500. A bit of a pain to carry around
My claim to fame was reading over half of ‘Anna Karenina’ by Tolstoy ??
Over 500 p for me. HP and Eragon are the longest books I’ve read so far
1200 plus. Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson is the longest I have read so far, I think. And long to me isn’t the number of pages, but how much the book drags on lol.
Edit:
Was wrong. It’s 2000+ for the Riverside Shakespeare. Thank goodness for LibraryThing!
@Katie Right!? Lol
Got, HP and EOS for me. 🙂
It depends. If I’m reading the book for Book Battle, 400+ pages. ? But otherwise I would say 600+ pages.
At least one of the Outlander books is 1400+ pages
The longest book I’ve read was by Robert Jordan, and it was 1001 pages. I’ve read the entire Sword of Truth series, all these books. Totally worth it.
A long book to me is 600+ pages.
500+ pages
I’d say around 500 pages for most. For me, it would be around 800 pages.
Oh and the longest book I have read is IT or The Stand
500+ for me personally, but most YA doesn’t surpass that which is generally what I read
Anything over 500. And I’ve read It and it was over 1100.
800+ is long. Oathbringer is the longest book I own at 1248 pages.
Over 500. Any of the GR books are the longest ones I’ve read. For example Firebrand is 800.
I’d agree over 500 I consider long. ? I love long books tho. I’ve read It and The Stand several times, most all of Ken Follett books are around 900+and I’ve read several of his too. I have a lot of the ones mentioned in above comments, but just haven’t read them yet.
I agree with those saying over 500 is a long book. And I think the longer book I have is It, which is over 1100 pages, but Gone With the Wind is up there with just under the 1100 pages.
500+ and longest book I read was les miserable
500+ and the longest book i own got it’s 1225
700+ pages I would consider long…
I consider 500+ long.
The longest book I have ever read and own is IT
Night lord series! About 1000 pages each.
600+ I would say and the longest book I read was The Fireman and HP and the Order of the Phoenix.
Anything above about 500 for me tbh. Longest I own is a copy of Gone with the Wind (inherited from my Nana) at 1037 pages.
400+ pages is “long” in my mind. Probably the longest I’ve ever read is one I’m reading now…an 1100+ page volume of short stories!
400+ is long in my mind, and the longest book I own and have read was Winter, 823 pages.
500+ is a long book to me. Whichever book that is the longest book in the Harry Potter series is the longest book I ever read. I think it’s Order of the Phoenix.
I consider 500+ to be long…. The longest ones besides game of thrones would be 625 pages during book battle
